The disclosure relates to a detector unit comprising a radio frequency antenna unit and a gradient coil unit surrounding the radio frequency antenna unit concentrically, each embodied as hollow cylinders surrounding a cylinder axis in the longitudinal direction. The detector unit comprises at least four shim units, which are embodied as oblong shapes and are each arranged in parallel to the cylinder axis at various positions in the circumferential direction on a first inner surface, with said first inner surface corresponding to the side of the gradient coil unit facing towards the cylinder axis, and forming raised areas in the direction of the cylinder axis. The detector unit comprises a fixing unit embodied for fixing the at least four shim units to the gradient coil unit, and an RF screen, which is arranged at least partly between the radio frequency antenna unit and the gradient coil unit.

A gradient coil unit surrounding a cylindrical patient receiving region and including a hollow cylindrical primary coil and a hollow cylindrical secondary coil surrounding the primary coil and the patient receiving region in a coaxial manner, having a first longitudinal end in a longitudinal direction, which is designed to receive an examination object, and a second longitudinal end lying opposite the first longitudinal end in the longitudinal direction, the primary coil having a first length in the longitudinal direction delimited by a first longitudinal position facing the first longitudinal end, and a second longitudinal position, the secondary coil having a second length delimited by a third longitudinal position facing the first longitudinal end, and a fourth longitudinal position, wherein the first length is shorter than the second length and the first longitudinal position has a greater spacing with respect to the first longitudinal end than the third longitudinal position.

Gradient coil unit for interventional MR imaging

A gradient coil unit may include a hollow cylinder surrounding a cylinder axis, delimited perpendicularly to the cylinder axis by a first longitudinal end and a second longitudinal end opposing the first longitudinal end. The hollow cylinder may include a first hollow cylinder region and a second hollow cylinder region separated from the first hollow cylinder region by a sectional plane perpendicular to the cylinder axis. The first hollow cylinder region may be delimited by the first longitudinal end and the second hollow cylinder region by the second longitudinal end. The gradient coil unit may also include a conductor structure configured to generate magnetic field gradients in three mutually different directions. The gradient coil unit may have a length corresponding to a distance between the first longitudinal end and the second longitudinal end of at least 140 cm.

Gradient coil unit comprising two hollow cylinder regions

A gradient coil assembly for a magnetic resonance imaging device is disclosed. The gradient coil assembly comprises a cylindrical carrier with conductors forming three gradient coils associated with three orthogonal physical gradient axes. The cylindrical carrier comprises at least two radial through openings at different angular positions. At least one of the conductors runs through at least one area of the carrier located circumferentially between the through openings.
