The present invention relates to the field of perfumery. It relates more particularly to perfume dispensing device. The device of the present invention comprises dispensing means and a liquid composition including a perfume and selected compounds which impacts the fragrance perception diffused in the surrounding air during use.

Perfume emanating device

A fragrance composition is described which comprises at least two different fragrance accords, wherein at least 30 wt % of each fragrance accord comprises the key contributor(s) of said fragrance accord and wherein the average of the odor detection thresholds of said key contributor(s) for each fragrance accord is within the same order of magnitude as the average of the odor detection thresholds of the key contributor(s) for said other fragrance accord(s), and wherein the base note(s) of each fragrance accord comprises less than 15% of the notes of said accord. Methods of manufacture thereof, together with methods of attenuating fragrance habituation, are also described.

Fragrance emanator devices and methods of attenuating fragrance habituation

A method for dispensing an active volatile in the environment surrounding a surface, which comprises applying to the surface a self-adhering, water-resistant gel composition of at least one active volatile ingredient, silica, and a water-soluble cationic polysaccharide, and diffusing or releasing the volatile ingredient(s) from the gel in an amount sufficient to purify or sanitize the surrounding air, both in a dry condition or in the presence of humidity or water. The gel composition remains adhered to the surface and actively releases the volatile ingredient(s) even after being exposed to repeated water flows over the composition.

Self-adhesive fragranced gels

A fragrance composition is described which comprises: at least two different fragrance accords wherein at least 30 wt % of each fragrance accord comprises the key contributor(s) of said fragrance accord and wherein the average of the odor detection thresholds of said key contributor(s) for each fragrance accord is within the same order of magnitude as the average of the odor detection thresholds of the key contributor(s) for said other fragrance accord(s); and wherein the base note(s) of each fragrance accord comprises less than 15% of the notes of said accord. Methods of manufacture thereof together with methods of attenuating fragrance habituation are also described.

Fragrance composition

The invention concerns a gel composition capable of bringing a benefit or effect by diffusing into its surrounding environment an active volatile. The compositions according to the invention include a water based medium, comprising an active volatile, a super-absorbent polyacrylate based polymer and a polymeric cross-linking agent having a high molecular weight and being able to be polarized with positive charges. The invention also concerns the consumer article containing, or associated with, the composition, in particular a device intended to diffuse a volatile liquid, more specifically an air-freshener.

Gel compositions for diffusion devices

The present invention is drawn to a device for perfuming ambient air or closed spaces.An active volatile substance, like a perfume, an insect repellent or a deodorizing or sanitizing agent, is evaporated from a device.Thesaiddevice comprises water or an appropriate hydrophilic solvent containingsaid volatiletheactiveingredient and an absorbing material chosen from superabsorbents, starch based systems, chemically modified cellulose and natural gum andvolatile substance and a superabsorbent substancewhichareiscapable of forming a gel with water orsaidthehydrophilic solvent, both components being adapted to be mixed with each other in order to achieve the diffusion ofsaidthe activevolatileingredientsubstancefrom thesaidgel. The components are mixed with each other to formsaidthegel from which theperfume or a deodorizing or sanitizing agent, or an insect repellent,active volatile substancediffuses uniformly and over a prolonged period of time into the surrounding air.

Gel type vapor release device

The present invention is drawn to a device for perfuming ambient air or closed spaces. The said device comprises water or an appropriate hydrophilic solvent containing said volatile active ingredient and an absorbing material chosen from superabsorbents, starch based systems, chemically modified cellulose and natural gum and which are capable of forming a gel with water or said hydrophilic solvent, both components being adapted to be mixed with each other in order to achieve the diffusion of said volatile ingredient from the said gel. The components are mixed with each other to form said gel from which the perfume or a deodorizing or sanitizing agent, or an insect repellent, diffuses uniformly and over a prolonged period of time into the surrounding air.
