The disclosed embodiments relate to an electrosurgical system, to a method for operating an electrosurgical system, and to an electrode for an electric surgical system. An image detection system of the surgical instrument detects an image of the electrode. The corresponding image data is compared with data sets in a database, in which an identifying feature of the electrode and at least one operating parameter for the electrode are assigned to each other. After the electrode type has been identified, the corresponding operating parameters are transmitted to a controller of the surgical instrument.

A transporter for controlling the longitudinal movement of an electrode of a urological resectoscope, with a guide tube which is secured lengthwise on the resectoscope and on which a carriage is mounted so as to be longitudinally movable, with a spring mounted at one end on the carriage and at the other end on one of the ends of the guide tube, and with finger supports secured on the carriage and on one of the ends of the guide tube, is characterized in that the spring is formed in one piece with at least one of the finger supports, and wherein the spring is designed as a leaf spring and has portions curved in opposite directions.

Transporter for controlling the longitudinal movement of an electrode

A shaft of a laparoscopic instrument, having a ceramic tube which extends over the main length of the shaft and has a sheath which encloses the ceramic tube in at least some regions, is situated to cover those regions of the ceramic tube that are at risk of breakage and is designed to prevent the splinters of ceramic from penetrating through the sheath. The ceramic tube forms a predetermined breaking point in the region of the sheath.
