An exhaust gas treatment device (), for an exhaust system of an internal combustion engine, includes a tubular housing () and an insert () arranged replaceably in the housing (). The insert () has an exhaust gas treatment element () fixed in a tubular jacket () and is able to be pushed into the housing () in a pushing-in direction (), which extends parallel to a central longitudinal axis () of the housing (). The jacket () has, on an outer side (), an axial stop (), axially in contact with an axial counterstop () in the pushing-in direction () and is formed on the housing () on an inner side (). A locking element () is axially supported on a support contour (), is formed on the jacket () in the pushing-in direction (), and is provided on the inner side () of the housing.

Exhaust gas treatment device with replaceable insert

A particle filter () for filtering exhaust gas in an internal combustion engine includes a housing and a filter element. A simplified installation and/or simplified replacement of the filter element () and/or improved sealing of the housing () results if the filter element () is supported in an inner jacket (), which is supported radially in an outer jacket () and is arranged so as to be axially movable in the outer jacket (). The inner jacket () is axially supported on a ring (), which is supported axially on a cover () that closes an installation opening () of the housing () via at least one supporting element () in order to transmit pressure forces. A muffler () is provided having such a particle filter (), wherein a section of a muffler housing () of the muffler () forms the housing () of the particle filter ().

Particle filter

An exhaust gas treatment device () includes a combustion waste gas inlet pipe (), an outlet pipe, an essentially gas-tight inner housing () fluidically connected with the inlet pipe and fluidically connected with the outlet pipe. The inner housing receives a particle filter (). A connection element () is arranged in a connection area () of the inner housing. The connection area fluidically faces the outlet pipe (), for mechanically connecting the particle filter with the inner housing. An oxidation catalytic converter () is arranged upstream of the particle filter in the inner housing for catalyzing an oxidation reaction of the combustion waste gas. A counterpressure monitoring point () is provided fluidically between the oxidation catalytic converter and the connection element for measuring a counterpressure exerted by the particle filter during the operation of the treatment device. An internal combustion engine () is provided with the treatment device.
