Chair () with a seat section (), an underframe () which supports seat section (), and a seat back (), in which the seat back () is mounted on underframe () such that it may be pivoted around a rear transverse axis () oriented crosswise to chair (), and seat section () is at least partially deformable and is supported or reinforced by at least one stiff supporting element () extending from the bottom end of seat back () in the direction of seat section () and being rigidly connected with seat back (), such that when a pivoting movement of seat back () occurs, a portion of seat section () positioned in front of the end of supporting element () is raised or lowered depending on the direction of pivoting.

Chair

The invention relates to a chair, in particular a conference or visitor chair, which allows a coupled movement of a seat () and a backrest. The seat in this case is mounted in sliding bearings () comprising oblique guide surfaces () and is displaced and raised in the sliding bearings through a mounting end () of the backrest. According to the invention, two separate backrest bars () are provided, which are connected to the mounting ends (), wherein the backrest bars can be moved independently of each other. In this way, different seat positions can be realized. Besides an upright standard position, an inclined high position, and an asymmetrical position, in which a one-sided load of a backrest bar () can be realized with a corresponding displacement and rotation of the seat ().

Chair, in particular office chair

Chair, more especially an office chair, comprising a seat plate () which is arranged on an undercarriage () and a backrest () which in the manner of a so called synchronous mechanism permit a synchronous movement of seat plate () and backrest (), characterized in that the seat plate () is mounted laterally tiltable and the backrest includes two backrest supports () whose lower ends are mounted pivotally independently of each other on the undercarriage () and are coupled in movement to the seat plate () in such a manner that by rearward pivoting of the support () one side of the seat plate () is pressed down on the same side and the opposite side thereof is raised.

The invention relates to a lumbar support () for a chair with a backrest comprising backrest carriers () which are pivotable independently of each other, wherein the lumbar support comprises support regions () which are each mounted on a spring element (). The spring action of each spring element () is individually adjustable. In this arrangement, the spring elements () are arranged on a carrier (), which can be articulated to the backrest carriers () of the backrest of the chair, which are pivotable independently of each other. The invention further relates to a chair with a backrest, which is formed from backrest carriers () which are pivotable independently of each other and which also comprises the aforementioned lumbar support (). In this case, the lumbar support () is articulated to the backrest carriers () which are pivotable independently of each other.

A weight-responsive chair is provided which has a weight-activated mechanism that resists rearward tilting of a chair back upright while also effecting lifting of a rear portion of the seat to counteract the rearward tilt forces. The weight-activated mechanism includes a spring package connected between the chair frame and back upright which provides for ready mounting of same to the chair frame. Further, the rear seat portion is connected in lifting engagement with the upright but also includes independent suspension for the center of the rear seat portion to allow for independent movement and flexing thereof to improve comfort for the chair occupant.

A shelf kit for producing a shelf arrangement includes a number of vertical upright members and a number of compartment bases for forming shelf compartments. The upright members are composed of a plurality of upright segments, each taking up approximately the height of a shelf compartment. The compartment bases are longer than the width of a shelf compartment. The front and rear regions of the upright segments, where they project beyond the compartment bases, are provided with vertical passages into which vertical rods can be inserted which extend over the height of the shelf arrangement.
