A tire inflation system and a method of control. An inflation pressure of a tire may be checked when a tire pressure sampling interval has elapsed. The tire pressure sampling interval may be adjusted based on a type of pressure drop when the inflation pressure is less than a target tire pressure.

A method of controlling a differential lock. The method may include determining a target point for disengaging the differential lock and disengaging the differential lock when the vehicle reaches the target point.

Method of controlling a differential lock

An example roll control device uses differential pressure values, for example, that are conveyed by a motor driven pump to a first actuator associated with a first stabilizer. The differential pressure values are also conveyed from the motor driven pump to a second stabilizer through a proportional valve in one example. In another example, multiple actuators are utilized with each actuator being associated with a separate motor driven pump in communication with a common controller.

Roll control devices

A roll control actuator for a stabilizer bar includes an outer housing that is fixed to a first bar portion and a paddle member that is fixed to a second bar portion. The roll control actuator includes multiple fluid chambers with different fluid volumes. A control is used to selectively adjust roll stiffness of the stabilizer bar and includes a control valve in fluid communication with an accumulator. The first and second stabilizer bars can rotate relative to each other when the control valve is open to decrease roll stiffness and provide good ride quality. When the control valve is open, fluid flows freely between the fluid chambers. The first and second bar portions are hydraulically locked together when the control valve is closed to increase roll stiffness during cornering maneuvers. When the control valve is closed, the accumulator is isolated from the roll control actuator and fluid flow through the fluid chambers cannot occur due to differing fluid volumes.

Roll control actuator with rotary mechanism

A vehicle includes front and rear suspension systems. The vehicle includes front left and right strut assemblies respectively including front left and right knuckles. Rear left and right strut assemblies respectively include rear left and right knuckles. The knuckles are common with one another with each knuckle having a common lower suspension attachment boss. The front left and right knuckles respectively receive front left and right connection members at the lower attachment boss. The connection members are respectively interconnected to the front left and right suspension components. The rear left and right knuckles respectively receive rear left and right connection members at the lower attachment boss respectively interconnected to rear left and right suspension components. The overall suspension for the vehicle is designed by determining the knuckle position parameters for one of the knuckles including such features as suspension member, brake, and wheel assembly attachment points. Similarly, the knuckle position parameters are determined for another knuckle in a different location or on a different vehicle. Common vehicle attachment points on the knuckles are then calculated for the vehicle.
