A drug delivery device for conducting a medical therapy includes a housing with an exit port opening, and an exit port assembly, where said exit port assembly includes a rigid exit port sealing holder and a soft exit port sealing, and provides both a fluid-tight closure of the exit port opening and a fluid-tight connection between the housing and the rigid exit port sealing holder.

Wearable drug delivery device

A modular device for administering a fluid medicament fixable to the skin of a user includes a reservoir module with a reservoir defining a first axis, a first connecting structure and a first electrical contact arrangement; and a pump module with a piston rod defining a second axis, a second connecting structure arranged around the piston rod, and a second electrical contact arrangement. The first and second connecting structures are plugged together and the first axis and the second axes lie on a common axis forming a rotational axis. The pump module is rotated relative to the reservoir module about this rotational axis to electrically connect the first and second electrical contact arrangements. The first contact arrangement is displaced radially farther from the first axis than the first connecting structure, and the second electrical contact arrangement is displaced radially farther from the second axis than the second connecting structure.

Modular administration appliance

A module for a drug delivery device includes a first housing portion with a bearing element for supporting a neck or head portion of a first end of a reservoir and a second housing portion with an elastic contact element for supporting a second end of the reservoir opposite the first end. The first and second housing portions are configured to couple to each other in an assembled state in which the first and second housing portions form a cavity for accommodating the reservoir. The bearing element and the elastic contact element may each define a limiter or limiting structure of the cavity in a longitudinal direction of the cavity to secure or hold the reservoir free of play within the cavity. The elastic contact element may be is injection molded onto a surface of a body of the second housing portion.

A fill port for filling a liquid medicament into a reservoir located inside a drug delivery device includes insert fixed in a passage of a wall of the drug delivery device, and a pierceable fill port sealing is sandwiched between the insert and both the housing of the drug delivery device and the reservoir to provide a fluid-tight sealing between the reservoir and the housing.

A modular, semi-disposable patch pump for conducting a medical therapy includes a pump unit releasably connected to a reservoir unit by means of a bayonet connection; and a housing design for supporting both reliability and ease of use of said connection.

A bone fracture fixation system including reference pins inserted into bone fragments of a patient in a first configuration and an image capture device configured to capture an image of the reference pins, and the bone fragments. The system includes a processor configured to receive and pre-process the captured image data. The processor pre-processes the image data by virtually re-positioning the reference pins in the first configuration into a second configuration, wherein the re-positioning virtually re-positions the bone fragments into normal alignment; and virtually generating a support device. The system includes a point-of-care production apparatus that produces a three-dimensional model of the virtually generated support device in a form that can be applied to the patient. The three-dimensional support device generated by the point-of-care production apparatus is configured to receive the reference pins in the first configuration; and simultaneously re-positions and fixes the bone fragments into normal alignment.

A bone graft containment device includes a body extending longitudinally from a first end to a second end. The body is defined via a strut framework sized and shaped to correspond to an outer surface of a target bone. The strut framework defines an interior space configured to receive a bone graft or bone graft substitute material. The device also includes a first grasping structure and a second grasping structure extending from an exterior of the body. The first and second grasping structures are configured to receive a bone fixation plate therebetween.

A bone plate includes at least one hole extending through the bone plate from an upper plate surface to a lower plate surface along a central hole axis that is oriented along an axial direction. The at least one hole defined by an interior surface of the bone plate. The interior surface further defining a plurality of columns sequentially located about a circumference of the interior surface and a plurality of recesses located circumferentially between the columns. Each of the columns defines a plurality of thread segments each defining a root, a first thread surface extending from the root to a first crest, and a second thread surface extending from the root to a second crest. At least a portion of the first and second thread surfaces are offset from one another at a thread angle. The thread angle of at least one of the thread segments is in a range of about 5 degrees to about 59 degrees.

Threaded locking structures for affixing bone anchors to a bone plate, and related systems and methods

A bone plate includes locking holes that reconfigured to threadedly mate with locking screws to fix the bone plate to an underlying bone. Some of the locking holes are standard-type locking holes. Alternatively or additionally, some of the locking holes are variable-angle locking holes. The bone plate defines a collection cavity in the locking holes that are configured to collect shavings that can be produced if the bone screw is cross threaded in the locking hole.

A bone plate includes an upper surface, an opposed lower surface configured to face a bone, and at least one aperture extending through the bone plate from the upper to the lower surface along a central aperture axis. The aperture is defined by an interior surface of the bone plate. The interior surface defines a plurality of columns sequentially located about a circumference of the interior surface and a plurality of recesses located circumferentially between the columns. Each of the columns is configured to undergo deformation at least in a radial direction perpendicular to the central aperture axis responsive to engagement with a head of a locking bone screw that is receivable within the at least one aperture so as to lock the head to the bone plate. The plurality of columns comprises at least five columns.

A cable-lock device includes a housing, having a length-axis between a distal end for accepting a cable and a proximal end for exiting a cable, including a first bore parallel to the length-axis of the housing and configured to allow passage of the cable, a second bore off-center from and parallel to the first bore including a tappet axially displaceable in the second bore and parallel to the length axis of the housing, and a third bore oblique to the first bore which intersects with the first bore including a locking roller axially displaceable in the third bore with a predetermined angulation to the length-axis of the housing, a resilient structure which exerts a force on the locking roller in the direction of the intersection of the first bore and the third bore, and a fastener unit at the proximal end of the third bore.
