The invention relates to a motor vehicle door, consisting of an interior sheet metal and an exterior sheeting, together which form a hollow interior space of the door, having an opening in the interior sheet metal and having a carrier module that closes said opening, and carries at least one functional part of the motor vehicle door, such as a hinge part, lock part or window lifter part. In order to simplify the assembly of a motor vehicle door it is proposed that the vehicle door () features, apart from the opening () in the interior sheet metal () which may be closed by means of a carrier module, an additional access opening () adequately large for inserting the carrier module, including the at least one functional part, into the interior space () of the door and that the carrier module consists of a base plate () which closes the opening () of the interior sheet metal () from the side of the hollow interior space () of the door.

Motor vehicle door

A method of assembling of a door comprising the steps of providing a door inner panel having an outer face and an inner face, at least one functional component of the door, an anti intrusion beam and a door outer panel. The functional component is assembled onto and towards the outer face. The anti intrusion beam is assembled towards the outer face prior to assembling the door outer panel towards the outer face. Fixing means secure the door inner panel, the functional component, the anti intrusion beam and the door outer panel relative to each other.

Method of assembling a door

An assembly including a door panel, a window regulator housing component, and a window regulator drive system component. The door panel is secured to the window regulator housing component by a deformed portion to provide a subassembly. The deformed portion is utilized to releaseably secure the window regulator drive system component to the subassembly via a fourth component.

Assembly

Hollow-interior vehicle door consisting of an internal in its entirety essentially pot-shaped or pan-shaped stiffening structure, and of at least one external outer panel element being essentially lid-shaped and supported by the essentially pot-shaped or pan-shaped stiffening structure, such as a door skin, as well as of functional parts for practicing the door functions, and of optionally an inner panel element, in which the essentially pot-shaped or pan-shaped stiffening structure serves to accommodate functional parts of the vehicle door. The essentially pot-shaped or pan-shaped stiffening structure is divided into two parts, in fact, into a first frame-shaped stiffening element () for supporting the outer panel element (outer panel) and into a second essentially pot-shaped or pan-shaped stiffening element () for supporting functional parts of the vehicle door () and that the two stiffening elements (and) have, in the area of the outward-pointing, thus in Y-direction pointing, side walls of the door interior (A), elongated, preferably frame-shaped connecting surfaces (and') which define the access opening (B) to the door interior (A).

Vehicle door

A vehicle door comprising a strengthening structure, an inner door skin and a latch mechanism to be housed within the door, said mechanism having an engagement element that co-operates with the strengthening structure to allow the mechanism to be presented for rigid fixing within the door after the inner skin has been positioned relative to the strengthening structure; wherein at least one fixing element rigidly holds both the inner door skin and the latch mechanism to the strengthening structure.

An assembly includes a first, second and third components having respective first, second and third holes. The assembly further includes a locating feature assembled into the holes having a small portion and a large portion that provide a shoulder therebetween. The locating feature further includes a fixing portion near the small portion to secure the second component relative to the assembly and a fixing portion near the large portion to secure the third component relative to the assembly. The small portion is located in the second hole to align the locating feature relative to the second component, and the large portion is located in the third hole to align the locating feature relative to the third component. The second component is aligned relative to the third component, and the first component is situated between the second and third components and between the shoulder and the second component.

An assembly including a first, second and third component and a first and second fixing member, the first, second and third component having respective first, second and third holes, the first hole being a threaded hole, in which the first fixing member cooperates with the second hole and a first threaded portion of the first fixing member engaging the first hole to secure the first component to the second component, the first and second fixing member cooperating with the third hole with the first fixing member engaging the second fixing member to secure the third component to the first component, in which the first component is situated between the second and third component.

Door panel assembly

A vehicle door includes a window regulator motor and an inner panel. The window regulator motor further includes a connector housing which houses electrical connector terminals. The connector housing is sealed against the inner panel of the vehicle door via a diaphragm seal.

A housing structure for a mobile element, such as a regulator drum, includes a dish that covers the housing and a backing plate with an opening large enough to accommodate the mobile element and one or more pliable tongues extending into the opening. The tongues hold the mobile element in the housing while still allowing the element to be removed without dismantling the housing or the element.

A vehicle window regulator including an elongate drive shaft having a drive axis and first and second drive sprockets connected at spaced locations to the drive shaft. The first and second drive sprockets may be connected to the drive shaft constant velocity joints. The first and second drive sprockets are connected to respective first and second idler wheels via respective first and second toothed drive belts, with each drive belt including a cursor for connection to a window glass.

Closure system

A door panel assembly includes a panel with a window regulator mounted on one side and a power mechanism mounted on an opposite side. The panel has a first alignment feature for aligning the window regulator relative to the panel and a second alignment feature for aligning the power mechanism relative to the panel. The first and second alignment features facilitate alignment of the window regulator and the power mechanism to each other. Further, the first and second alignment features allow initial assembly of one of the window regulator or power mechanism components to the panel with a subsequent assembly of the remaining component to the panel without having to hold the first component in place.

A door assembly includes a simple and compact mount for attaching a power or manual window drive mechanism within a door module. The drive mechanism can be removed from a door panel without having to remove the driven mechanism that lowers and raises the window. The drive mechanism is positioned on one side of the panel and the driven mechanism is positioned on an opposite side of the panel from the drive mechanism. A retaining assembly retains the driven and drive mechanisms to the panel such that the drive mechanism can be selectively detached from the panel without detaching the driven mechanism from the panel.

Apparatus for mounting a drive mechanism within a door module

A system assembles an apparatus for activating a window on a fixed support. The apparatus includes a drum housing drum cover which has a cover body which is capable of being secured on the fixed support by a first securing member. The cover body includes lugs which block the drum in the drum cover. The system further includes a motor assembly for driving the drum in rotation. The motor assembly includes a principle body which is capable of being secured on the cover body by a second securing member.

The subject of the invention is a linear displacement actuator which includes a male part and a female part. One part includes a screw thread and the other part includes at least one peripheral rib which collaborates with the screw thread. The inside diameter of the female part, increased by the depth of the screw thread, is greater than the outside diameter of the male part. The female part bears linear actuators arranged at right angles in a support and is free to be displaced axially with respect to the male part. The linear actuators place the female part in sinusoidal vibration in two perpendicular directions with an appropriate phase shift between the vibrations, and displaces, rotation-wise, the line of contact between the screw thread and the at least one peripheral rib. The screw thread and the peripheral rib remain motionless in terms of rotation and therefore bring about relative linear displacement of the female part and of the male part.
