In a method and apparatus for acquiring and reconstructing a four-dimensional dynamic magnetic resonance (MR) image data record, MR data are continuously acquired by radial scanning of an examination region along radial k-space lines, and a dynamic region of the examination region, in which said dynamic procedure is relevant, is determined, as well as a non-dynamic region, which is not relevant to the dynamic procedure. Static image data are reconstructed from all of the acquired MR data, and image data therein originating from the non-dynamic region are marked and are then not used for reconstructing a dynamic image data record for the dynamic region.

Method and apparatus for the recording and reconstruction of a four-dimensional dynamic magnetic resonance image data record

An adaptive reconstruction of MR data, including acquired MR data of a core region having core segments and simulated MR data of a peripheral region. The method includes ascertaining a peripheral signal based on the MR data of the peripheral region, determining a scaling factor for each core segment by taking into account the peripheral signal and a mean signal intensity of the MR data for the respective core segment, scaling the MR data of the core region by taking into account the MR data of each core segment and that of the scaling factor corresponding to the respective core segment, generating filtered MR data by combining the scaled MR data of the core region with the MR data of the peripheral region, and reconstructing image data from the filtered MR data.

Adaptive reconstruction of MR data

A method for operating a medical diagnostic system that is configured to use a system component of the diagnostic system to generate examination data of a person under examination during an examination procedure is provided. The examination procedure with control of the system component is controlled by a piece of control software, and a component driver exchanges control commands of the control software with the system component in order to control the system component. The method includes providing an event driver that communicates with the control software via an interface of the control software. Via the event driver, a first event is detected in the examination procedure and reported to the event driver. When the first event is detected in the examination procedure, the use of the system component in the examination procedure is modified to a first type defined by the event driver.

The invention relates to a method for reconstructing magnetic resonance images, to a magnetic resonance apparatus and to a computer program product. According to the method, measurement data is acquired in an acquisition period. The measurement data is used to determine a motion curve over the acquisition period. In addition, at least one magnetic resonance image is reconstructed. In this process, the acquisition period is separated into a plurality of sub-periods by one or more separating periods and/or separating times in which the motion curve satisfies a defined motion condition, and each magnetic resonance image is reconstructed using the measurement data from at least one sub-period.

Movement-dependent reconstruction of magnetic resonance images

For reduction of artifacts when acquiring magnetic resonance (MR) data using an MR apparatus, a SPAR pulse, which acts on spins in a first predetermined frequency range, and a saturation pulse, which acts on spins in a second predetermined frequency range, are radiated. A gradient for spatial encoding is activated at the same time as the saturation pulse, so that the saturation pulse acts on an edge region adjacent to the volume segment. The edge region borders an ellipsoidal useful volume of the scanner of the MR apparatus, in which the strength of the B0 field changes in terms of magnitude by no more than 30 ppm. Spoiler gradients are activated to destroy a transverse magnetization, before an RF excitation pulse, adjusted to the SPAIR pulse, is radiated. MR data are acquired after the SPAIR pulse, the saturation pulse and the RF excitation pulse. The second frequency range is adjusted to the first frequency range.

Magnetic resonance method and apparatus with reduction of artifacts by a combination of SPAIR pulse and saturation pulse

A method is provided for creating magnetic resonance images of a predetermined three-dimensional volume segment of a living object undergoing examination, using a magnetic resonance device. The method includes acquiring magnetic resonance data in the volume segment by radial acquisition of a k-space for a predetermined duration of capture that includes at least one full respiratory period of the object undergoing examination; analyzing the magnetic resonance data in order to determine therefrom at least one respiratory period; forming at least one data group that includes only the magnetic resonance data that belongs to at least one respiratory state of the at least one respiratory period; and creating the magnetic resonance images from only the magnetic resonance data of the at least one data group. Here, it is advantageous that magnetic resonance images of higher temporal resolution and/or better image quality, in particular with smaller image artifacts, may be provided.

The disclosure relates to a method for reconstructing a preview of a magnetic resonance examination, a magnetic resonance apparatus, and a computer program product. The method includes recording a first set of magnetic resonance data, from which a second set of magnetic resonance data is selected. Based on the second set of magnetic resonance data, a preview is reconstructed.

In a magnetic resonance apparatus and an operating method therefore, a data acquisition sequence for operating the apparatus is repeatedly reviewed in a number of ascertainment passes executed in a processor, each ascertainment pass involving a calculation step, and in each calculation step a determination is made as to other respective values of data elements used in a previous calculation step have changed. If no change has occurred, a re-calculation in the current calculation step is not implemented, thereby reducing the time and computing capacity that are needed to generate a final data acquisition sequence.

A method is disclosed for creating a motion correction for PET data acquired by a PET system from a volume segment of an examination object. The method includes acquisition of MR data within the volume segment by the magnetic resonance system; and determination of a motion model of a motion within the volume segment as a function of the MR data. The motion model, as a function of a respective motion state of the motion, provides a correction specification for PET data which is acquired during this motion state. During acquisition of the MR data, specific MR data is acquired in the center of the k-space or of a straight-line segment which passes through the center of the k-space. The MR data determined is converted by a mathematical function into one value, as a function of which the respective motion state is determined.

In a magnetic resonance (MR) imaging apparatus and control method therefor, multiple frequency spectra of a material of the examination object are detected using at least one radio-frequency coil of and MR scanner, the coil having a number of coil elements and at least two of the frequency spectra are detected individually detected by respective, different coil elements. A number of resonant frequencies of at least one molecule in the material are established in the number of frequency spectra. Control information is formulated based on the number of resonant frequencies. The magnetic resonance scanner is controlled using the control information.
