Provision is made of at least one decoupling/sealing element (), which is formed as a spring steel ring, and which is elastically tensioned between a first associated bearing cartridge end region () and an adjacently arranged bearing housing wall region ().

Bearing housing of an exhaust-gas turbocharger

A turbocharger wheel () and shaft () assembly exhibits a frustoconical geometry of welding zone contact surfaces extending to the outer circumference of the shaft (). This frustoconical geometry not only allows continuous centering of the parts () during joining, it also eliminates the problem of stress propagation along a plane. The location of the electron beam is shifted so that only the radially outer segment of the frustoconical contact surface is joined by welding, leaving a radially inner unmelted and unfused zone for maintaining firm contact of the oblique surfaces.

An exhaust-gas turbocharger () with a bearing housing (), a bearing cartridge () inserted into the bearing housing (), a shaft () which is mounted in the bearing cartridge () and which extends in an axial direction, a bearing housing cover () which is connected to the bearing housing (), a turbine wheel () which is arranged on the shaft (), and a compressor wheel () which is arranged on the shaft (), wherein the bearing housing cover () is connected directly to the bearing cartridge () in order to secure the bearing cartridge () in the axial direction and against rotation.

Exhaust-gas turbocharger

An exhaust-gas turbocharger () comprising a compressor (); a turbine (); and a bearing housing (), in which there is arranged a bearing cartridge (), secured against axial displacement and twisting; and a single fixing element () securing the bearing cartridge () both against axial displacement and also twisting in the bearing housing (). Also a method for assembling a bearing cartridge () in a bearing housing () of an exhaust-gas turbocharger ().

An exhaust gas turbocharger () having a compressor (), a turbine () which has a turbine casing () in which a wastegate opening () is arranged and which has a charge pressure control flap arrangement () with a flap plate () which can be moved between a closed position and an open position. Exhaust gas turbocharger

A coupling rod () for a turbocharger has a first rod part () which has a ball head (). The coupling rod () further has a second rod part () which has a joint socket () for holding the ball head (). A guide element () is arranged between an inner peripheral surface () of the joint socket () and an outer peripheral surface () of the ball head (). The guide element () has at least one spring tongue () which bears against the outer peripheral surface (). The guide element () is connected to a support section () which is supported on the inner peripheral surface ().

Coupling rod of a turbocharger

A turbocharger oil discharge assembly () can have a thrust collar () with a first radially outwardly extending wall and a second radially outwardly extending wall to define a first annular channel. The first radially outwardly extending wall can have an annular flange that at least in part defines a second annular channel. The assembly can also have a thrust bearing () having a radially inner end received in the first annular channel, and an insert (). An oil collection chamber () can be defined at least in part by a drainage channel of the insert (), the annular flange of the thrust collar () and the thrust bearing (). Pressurized oil discharged from an oil release interface can be directed towards a radially outer region of the oil collection chamber () and can be collected in the oil collection chamber () for subsequent exhaust.

The invention relates to a turbocharger () comprising a compressor (), a turbine connected to the compressor () by means of a shaft () and provided with an exhaust inlet () and an exhaust outlet (), and a bypass line () which branches off from the exhaust inlet (), bypassing the turbine, and leads to the exhaust outlet in which a boost-pressure regulating flap is arranged, said regulating flap comprising a flap plate () which is connected to a flap shaft () by means of a connecting device ().
