A method for optimizing the occupancy of magazine spaces by tools within at least one tool magazine for a machine tool in a computer-supported manner is provided. One or more workpieces of one or more workpiece types is produced using the tools supplied by a magazine device at a supply area, having the following steps: a-i) detecting a number of workpieces, magazine spaces, a number of tools, required space, allowable magazines spaces for each tool, allowable starting magazine occupancy, a sequence of work steps to be carried out by the machine tool on a workpiece, work step time periods required to carry out each individual work step on the workpiece, one or more supply time periods depending on the sequence of the work steps to be carried out, and j) optimizing the occupancy of the magazine spaces by tools.

Method and apparatus for computer aided optimization of an occupancy of magazine slots by tools

A machine tool which is designed to carry out a specified sequence of work steps is provided. A tool and a processing time is assigned to each work step. A tool magazine is designed to keep a number of tools ready for the machine tool and includes a feeder for conveying tools from and to a transfer point for the machine tool. In a method for assigning tools to spaces of the tool magazine, a number of work steps are determined from the sequence, the respective processing time of each work step being shorter than a specified cycle time of the tool magazine. A work step is iteratively selected from the number of work steps; a previously used tool and a subsequently used tool are assigned spaces of the tool magazine; and the work step is removed from the number of work steps.

A monitoring system includes in-field measurement devices adapted to generate measurement data of a power supply network, and a processing unit adapted to process the measurement data using a local network state estimation model to calculate local network state profiles used to generate a global network state profile. The processing unit is adapted to process the measurement data to provide a relevance profile comprising, for the in-field measurement devices, a relevance distribution indicating a probability where an origin of a contingency within the power supply network resides. The processing unit is adapted to compute a similarity between a candidate contingency profile formed by the generated global network state profile and by the calculated relevance profile and reference contingency profiles stored in a reference contingency database of the monitoring system to identify a reference contingency profile having a highest computed similarity as a recognized contingency within the power supply network.

A method for planning an electrical power transmission network using a planning arrangement includes providing a first input dataset, and converting the first input dataset into graphical representation using a conversion device. The graphical representation contains topology information for interconnection of equipment items and data communication information and parameterization information for equipment items. Different types of equipment are distinguished by a first identifier, electrical connections are distinguished by a second identifier and data communication links are distinguished by a third identifier. Multiply recurring patterns in the graphical representation are identified by a pattern recognition device. A respective frequency of patterns is determined by the pattern recognition device. All patterns having a frequency exceeding a predetermined threshold are marked as candidate samples by the pattern recognition device. Typical configurations are selected from the candidate patterns using a selection criterion. A planning arrangement and a computer program product are also provided.
