A monitoring method for an extracorporeal blood treatment machine, a monitoring device of an extracorporeal blood treatment machine, and an extracorporeal blood treatment machine including a monitoring device. The monitoring device is configured to detect a signal representing a concentration of pollutants in a used dialysis liquid, to automatically evaluate a signal course with respect to at least one predetermined indicator for an existing recirculation, and to automatically initiate a recirculation measurement or automatically output a request for initiating a recirculation measurement to a user upon determination of the at least one indicator.

Monitoring device for recirculation analysis

A device and method that can be used to produce dialysis liquid for extracorporeal blood treatment. The device includes a main line for supplying water. An acidic and a basic fluid are introduced in specific dosages. The dosages are set by a control and regulation unit as a function of a chemical and/or physical parameter of the water/fluid mixture. The chemical and/or physical parameter is detected by a measuring device arranged at a section of the main conduit situated downstream of the introduction points for the acidic fluid and for the basic fluid. The control and regulation unit controls introduction of the acidic fluid and basic fluid so that only one of the acid and basic fluids is introduced into the main conduit over a predetermined period or a predetermined interval. Delivery and introduction of the basic fluid and acidic fluid take place alternately.

Method and device for intermittent, pulsating proportioning of a dialysis liquid mixture

A device and method for calibrating a first pressure sensor. The method includes: a) recursive analysis and forecasting of at least one correction function for finding a correction signal for the correction of a drift signal with the aid of a corresponding pressure reference signal, which is measured by the first pressure reference sensor, at constant internal pressure and at constant internal tube temperature; b) first calibration of a force signal, measured by the first pressure sensor and corrected using the correction signal, with the pressure reference signal, which is measured by the first pressure reference sensor, prior to an active use of the tube; and c) second calibration of the force signal, measured by the first pressure sensor and corrected using the correction signal, with the pressure reference signal, which is measured by a second pressure reference sensor during an active use of the tube.

The detecting device is arranged to detect, in a case free from recirculation, a first physical parameter and to detect, in a case afflicted with recirculation, a physical parameter varied by the cooling and/or heating of the blood by the temperature varying unit as a second physical parameter in the blood tube system. A device for extracorporeal blood treatment is disclosed that includes a detection equipment for detecting uremic toxins in a used dialysis liquid by measuring the absorbance, the detection equipment being provided at such a position downstream the outflow of the dialysis liquid from a filter element that at least one of the following requirements is fulfilled: a) the filling volume of the fluid line and of the components starting from the outflow of the used dialysis liquid from the filter element to the detection equipment is less than or equal to 100 ml; and b) the length of the fluid line starting from the outflow of the used dialysis liquid from the filter element to the detection equipment is at most 250 cm.

Device for extracorporeal blood treatment
