An arrangement () for disconnectably coupling an axially orientated motor vehicle brake booster control rod () to a brake pedal (). A first end () of the control rod () is coupled to an intermediate part () of a vertical actuating bar () of the brake pedal (). The first end () has a head () with at least one spherical bearing surface () that is housed in a complementary boss () formed in a wall of the intermediate part (). The head () is kept in contact with the boss () via elastically deformable axial retention means () interposed between the intermediate part () of the actuating bar and the control rod (). The deformation is controlled by an unlocking arrangement () that accessible from outside of the intermediate part () of the actuating bar ().

Booster control rod coupling arrangement

A brake booster comprising an envelope () having a longitudinal axis (X) formed of a first () and of a second () shell to define an interior volume divided by moving a skirt into a low-pressure first chamber and a variable-pressure second chamber. A three-way valve () actuated by a control rod places the front chamber and the rear chamber in communication at rest and during a braking phase interrupts the communication between the front chamber and the rear chamber and thereafter allows communication of pneumatic fluid at high pressure to the rear chamber. The booster is attached to the master cylinder by a clip-fastening arrangement wherein tabs () that radially extend from a sleeve tube () are plastically deformable in the radial direction on enter into a passage () in a flange () of the master cylinder and returning to the initial position when the attachment operation is complete.
