Glass or glass ceramic substrates are provided that have a decorative coating. Methods for coating a glass or glass ceramic substrate with a decorative coating are also provided. In the method, a first, textured layer is applied which is filled with a further layer, so that a layer material of graded composition is formed.

Glass or glass ceramic substrate provided with a decorative coating and method for producing same

A glass-ceramic cooktop is provided that is made of glass-ceramic material with a flat upper side and an underside. The glass-ceramic material has transmittance values of greater than 0.1% in the visible light range in the total wavelength region greater than 420 nm, a light transmittance in the visible range of 0.8-2.5%, and a transmittance of 0-85% in the infrared at 1600 nm, and wherein the glass-ceramic material has high quartz mixed crystals as the prevalent crystal phase. The underside is flat, unstructured, and coplanar with the upper side.

High-strength colored glass ceramics as a cooktop, smooth on both sides

A display device is provided that is a transparent, colored glass-ceramic with a display face on the front, an illumination face on the back, and at least one light-emitting element being disposed in the region of the illumination face. The display device further includes a color compensation filter in the form of a color layer introduced directly or indirectly on the glass ceramics.

A semi-transparent coating material for coating glass or glass ceramics includes at least one sol-gel hybrid-polymer coating system having a hybrid-polymer or inorganic sol-gel-based matrix, and nanoparticles and nanoscale pigments and/or dyes are added to the hybrid-polymer or inorganic sol-gel-based matrix.

Semi-transparent coating material

In order to provide a decorative coating () which exhibits improved temperature resistance and strength on glass and glass-ceramic and which also has no strength-reducing effect on the substrate (), or at least no longer has any substantially strength-reducing effect on the substrate, the invention envisions a process for producing glass or glass-ceramic articles having a decorative layer in which at least one decorative pigment () is mixed with a sol-gel binder (), and the pigment mixed with the sol-gel binder is cured on the glass or glass-ceramic substrate of the article by annealing, to form a decorative layer having a porous ceramiclike structure.
