A porch is provided having a ceiling, floor and at least three walls, the fourth wall being in most cases the wall of a house or other building to which the porch is attached. Each wall is made up of a plurality of identical window units or modules in side-by-side relationship and each window module includes a pair of laterally spaced apart vertically disposed parallel frames, one frame on each side. A multi-channel window track is mounted on the side of each frame. Both the frames and the tracks extend from the ceiling down below the floor of the porch. Independently movable window sashes are slidably mounted in each of the channels and are stored when not in use in a pocket at least partially below the floor level so that the lower edge of each window opening is spaced above the floor by a distance less than the height of one of the sashes so that the window openings are close enough to the floor to help promote a visual illusion of being outside.

A collapsible portable sign is described having a pair of vertically disposed parallel laterally spaced apart legs connected together at their upper ends by means of a center piece, all of which can be formed from metal or plastic tubing. The legs are releasably connected to the center piece as by means of pivots or removable socket connections enabling the legs to be folded parallel to the center piece for compact storage. A movable support bar extends between the legs when the sign is erect and a flexible sheet of cloth (e.g., nylon cloth) or plastic is supported between the center piece and the support bar to provide a display surface having information printed thereon.

Collapsible sign

A bracket for use in constructing a stairway of the type having stringers and a plurality of treads and risers. The bracket includes adjacent horizontal and vertical portions attachable to tread and riser members respectively, and an upwardly angled portion carried by an end of the bracket for attached to a stringer. The vertical portion of the bracket includes a downwardly directed finger which is grippingly receivable in an upwardly open slot means of an adjacent bracket, enabling a plurality of identical brackets to be firmly joined together and attached to a plurality of stringers to construct a stairway.

Stairway construction device

A frame for properly aligning to glass masters on opposite sides of a substrate is disclosed. The frame includes: (a) first alignment means comprised of spherical balls projecting from one frame member intended to mate with associated concave ball receiving surfaces associated with the other frame member; and (b) second alignment means comprised of pins capable of being inserted into bores in one frame member and pin seats in the second frame member. The frame also includes a pump and solenoid valve. Depending upon the position of the valve, the pump will either draw air from between the frame members to close the frame or push air between the frame members to open the frame.

Printing frame

A shadow mask for a colored TV picture tube contains the conventional foraminous or translucent area formed by multiple vertical rows of miniature apertures or slits with the improvement being a pattern set of recesses which are located between the rows of slits and which extend into the margin of the mask. Because of the patterned set of recesses, doming the mask can be accurately and smoothly accomplished for insertion into the envelope of a colored television picture tube.

A manifold is provided for use in the etching or plating of materials which continuously supplies fresh fluid to the surface of an article to be etched while continuously removing the old fluid that is adjacent the surface of the article that is to be etched. The transfer of fluid is accomplished by a plurality of sources and a plurality of funnel-like sinks.
