A display device includes: a substrate, a light emitting element which is on the substrate and emits light in a light emitting direction; and a side wall layer including a plurality of light control patterns arranged along the substrate, where the side wall layer is adjacent to the light emitting element in the light emitting direction of the light emitting element. Within the side wall layer which is adjacent to the light emitting element in the light emitting direction, each of the plurality of light control patterns has a certain height, the plurality of light control patterns are arranged along a major surface of the substrate and spaced apart from each other by a certain distance between two adjacent light control patterns of the light control patterns, and a ratio of the height to the distance is greater than about 1.4.

Each pixel of the pixels includes a thin film transistor, a first insulating pattern positioned on the thin film transistor, a pixel electrode positioned on the first insulating pattern, and a second insulating pattern covering an edge of the pixel electrode and contacting an edge of the first insulating pattern.

Display device and method of manufacturing the same

A display device includes a display panel including a plurality of pixels; and a color filter member on the display panel. The color filter member includes a partition member where a plurality of opening parts each overlapping with at least one of the plurality of pixels on a plane is defined, a liquid-repellent coating layer covering the partition member, and a color conversion member including a first color conversion pattern and a second conversion pattern, which are in each of the opening parts and provide different light. The first color conversion pattern includes a first bent part and a first color conversion part, which include the same material and contact each other to form an interface. A color filter includes a substrate including a pixel area and a light-blocking area surrounding the pixel area, a color conversion layer above the pixel area and converting incident light into light of different color, and a color filter layer including a first portion between the color conversion layer and the substrate, and a second portion surrounding side surfaces of the color conversion layer, and selectively transmitting the light of different color.
