A customizable glass wall system is disclosed. The system comprises at least two glazed, transparent panes mounted to a frame, creating an internal space less than approximately five inches thick. At least one upper roller is mounted to an upper portion of the frame, preferably on a removable headboard, and at least one lower roller is mounted to a lower portion of the frame, preferably to a removable tailboard. At least one partitioned film is attached to the upper and lower rollers. The partitioned film has partitions with varied properties and functions, ranging from thermal insulation to decoration, which can be selectively positioned behind the transparent panes by rotating the partitioned film by means of the rollers until a selected partition of film is displayed. The system can be automated based on time, weather, amount of sunlight, or user preference, and it may include window coverings or solar cells.

Customizable glass wall system with partitioned film

A customizable glass wall system is disclosed. The system comprises at least two glazed, transparent panes mounted to a frame, which is preferably less than five inches thick. The frame includes a removable headboard whereon multiple rollers are mounted. A film is attached to each of the rollers. The films can be selectively extended and retracted behind the transparent panes in the glass wall system by means of the rollers. Each of the films can be controlled individually by a motor driving each of the rollers. The films can be arranged in any combination to perform various functions, but most importantly, to allow various amounts and types of light to pass through the window system in order to control the thermal insulation of the glass wall system. The system can be automated based on time, amount of sunlight, weather, temperature, and user preference.

Customizable glass wall system

In one aspect of the invention, a chain assembly comprises a boom comprising a sliding surface and a plurality of chain links adapted to slide along the sliding surface. At least one polycrystalline ceramic enhanced insert at an interface between the chain links and at least a portion of the sliding surface.

In one aspect of the present invention, a roller assembly on an excavator for degrading natural and man-made formations has a plurality of pointed inserts disposed along its outer diameter. The inserts have a tip adapted to impact the formation and at least one of the tips has polycrystalline diamond bonded to a cemented metal carbide segment. The diamond also has a substantially conical geometry with a 0.50 to 0.200 inch radius and a thickness greater that 100 inches at the apex. The diamond also has a volume that is 75 to 150 percent of a volume of a carbide substrate.

In one aspect of the invention, a roller assembly has an axle that supports opposing faces of a cylindrical body that has a plurality of pointed inserts disposed along an outer diameter of the cylindrical body. At least one of the inserts has a tip with a polycrystalline diamond bonded to a cemented metal carbide segment. The diamond has a substantially conical geometry with a 0.50 to 0.200 inch radius apex and comprises a thickness greater than 0.100 inches at the apex. The roller assembly has an internal lubrication mechanism adapted to apply lubrication between the axle and the cylindrical body.
