An electrophysiology system including signal channels each of which processes an electrophysiological signal along a signal path extending from an input port that receives the analog electrophysiological signal, via an adjustable gain element that amplifies the electrophysiological signal, and via an ADC element that converts the analog signal into a corresponding digital signal, to an output port. The system further includes a monitoring element that generates a monitoring signal representative of a DC component of the electrophysiological signal and a gain control element that generates a control signal responsive to the monitoring signal. The control signal controls the gain setting of the gain element to cause a decrease in gain, if an increase in the magnitude of the DC component is determined; and/or an increase in gain, if a decrease in the magnitude of the DC component is determined.

System and method for processing electrophysiological signals

System for filtering cardiac signals. The system includes: cardiac terminals (-) adapted to collect cardiac electrophysiological potentials from a plurality of cardiac electrodes (-) placed at respective cardiac locations in or on an individual () and a processor device () adapted to process one or more input signals, which are based on the collected electrophysiological potential(s). The processing includes running an adaptive filter algorithm on one or more signals based on the input signals. The adaptive filter algorithm is arranged to calculate estimated noise component(s) of the signals and arranged to subtract the estimated noise component(s) from the signals. In this way a cardiac signal is derived where the noise has been significantly reduced.

System for adaptive filtering of cardiac signals

A switchable filter device for use in a system for recording electro-physiological signals. The filter device includes a plurality of recording channels, the recording channels having an ablation recording channel. Each recording channel has a patient side terminal at a patient interface and a corresponding recording side terminal at a recording device interface. Each recording channel includes a first signal path with a first frequency dependent transmission characteristic having a first pass band, a second signal path with a second frequency dependent transmission characteristic different from the first frequency dependent transmission characteristic, the second frequency dependent transmission characteristic having a second pass band overlapping the first pass band, and switching devices operable to switch between the first signal path and the second signal path in response to a control signal indicative of a transient interference signal. Preferably, switching from the second signal path to the first signal path is performed with a switching delay after termination of the transient interference signal.

Filtering device for recording electrophysiological signals

A system for recording intracardiac signals and for providing stimulation pulses and/or ablation energy at intracardiac locations. The system includes intracardiac terminals adapted to collecting intracardiac electrophysiological potentials from respective intracardiac locations in an individual; an indifferent terminal adapted to collecting indifferent electro-physiological potentials from the individual; a differential amplifier stage adapted to receiving and amplifying the electrophysiological potentials collected from the intra-cardiac and indifferent terminals with respect to a signal reference to obtain respective intracardiac and indifferent signals; a processor device adapted to determining a common mode signal as an average of the intracardiac and indifferent signals and adapted to providing an output of intracardiac data based at least on the intracardiac signals, wherein the intracardiac signals are referenced with respect to the common mode signal. A method of processing intracardiac electrophysiological signals is also disclosed.
