The cell associates a radio network temporary identifier (RNTI) with a group of user equipment (UEs), transmits a signal to the group of UEs, the signal scrambled by the RNTI and including control information and performs an operation indicated in the control information.

A user equipment (UE) includes a transceiver and a processor that is configured to identify a plurality of flows corresponding to data to be sent in an uplink (UL) direction. The processor is also configured to map a subset of the plurality of flows to a logical channel (LCH) of a plurality of LCHs. The processor is further configured to multiplex two or more scheduling requests (SRs) into an integrated SR for requesting one or more physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) resources corresponding to each flow of the subset of the plurality of flows of at least one LCH of the plurality of LCHs. Each SR included in the integrated SR corresponds to an SR for the data associated with at least one flow of the subset of the plurality of flows.

Embodiments are presented herein of apparatuses, systems, baseband processors, and methods for performing uplink communications and vehicle-to-everything sidelink communication. A wireless device receives first control information through a sidelink control channel specifying one or more first time slots for the wireless device to transmit a sidelink acknowledgment message over a sidelink feedback channel. The wireless device receives a resource grant through a downlink control channel, wherein the resource grant specifies one or more second time slots for the wireless device to transmit an uplink transmission over an uplink channel. The first and second time slots at least partially overlap, and it is selectively determined whether to transmit the sidelink acknowledgment message or the uplink transmission during the overlapping time slots.

An RRC state is introduced to support a wakeup radio/, including defining transition mechanisms to/from existing RRC states. Additionally, a bandwidth part framework for a wakeup signal is defined in which a base station may configure one or more time/frequency resources or a wakeup signal for a wakeup radio. Systems and methods of a wireless communications system using signals not traditionally used for positioning purposes for positioning measurements in both uplink (UL) and downlink (DL) are described herein. A user equipment (UE) may generate a UE capability information message indicating one or more signal types that the UE can process for DL positioning measurements and/or that the UE can send for UL positioning measurements. The one or more signal types so indicated may include signals not traditionally used for positioning measurements. The UE may send, to the base station, the UE capability information message. The wireless communications system may then configure the base station and/or the UE to use such signal types with one or more positioning methods. In some embodiments, the base station may also indicate to the UE a subset of signals of an indicated type which should be processed for DL measurements/sent for UL measurements.

Systems and methods for beam failure recovery (BFR) are disclosed herein. A user equipment (UE) receives downlink (DL) reference signal(s) on corresponding beam(s) from a base station. The UE performs beam failure detection (BFD) on such beams used for user data to determine whether a beam failure has occurred, and candidate beam detection (CBD) on such beams not used for user data to identify candidate beams for recovering from the beam failure. The BFD and the CBD are based on both uplink (UL) channel performance considerations and DL channel performance considerations, as determined using the DL reference signal(s), such that a beam failure may be determined in the UL, the DL, or both, and a candidate beam may be identified for UL, DL, or both. The UE sends a beam failure recovery request BFRQ with this information to the base station, and the system changes beams accordingly.
