Systems and methods provide for physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) monitoring adaptation. A user equipment (UE) may monitor a default search space set group (SSSG) for downlink control information (DCI) from a base station in the PDCCH. In response to a first DCI trigger, the UE switches from monitoring the default SSSG to monitoring a first non-default SSSG associated with a first timer. In response to a second DCI trigger, the UE switches from monitoring the first non-default SSSG to monitoring a second non-default SSSG associated with a second timer. The first non-default SSSG may be a non-empty SSSG including a search space set with at least one associated search space. The second non-default SSSG may be an empty SSSG with no associated search space to emulate PDCCH skipping.

Methods and apparatus for signaling and state transition for PDCCH skipping and SSSG switching

Provided is a method for a user equipment (UE). The method comprises acquiring a downlink control information (DCI) configured for multiple-physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) scheduling; determining, based on the number of PDSCHs scheduled by the DCI, whether a codebook group (CBG)-based operation is enabled for the scheduled PDSCHs; and determining, based on the number of PDSCHs scheduled by the DCI, a format of the DCI.

A cellular base station (BS) which determines an aperiodic sounding reference signal (SRS) triggering offset configuration specifying an offset between an aperiodic SRS trigger received by a user equipment (UE) and transmission of the SRS by the UE. The cellular base station may determine that the SRS triggering offset should be adjusted. In response, the cellular base station may transmit signaling to the UE specifying a new value for the aperiodic SRS triggering offset. The new SRS triggering offset value may be partly based on a minimum timing offset for the UE and may be contained in a medium access control (MAC) control element (CE) or in downlink control information (DCI). Additionally, the new triggering offset value may be applicable for a plurality of component carriers or bandwidth parts. The cellular base station may also determine a new triggering offset value due to conflicts regarding the AP-SRS transmission.

An approach to providing an indication of the availability of tracking reference signal (TRS) and/or channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) occasions. Channels for carrying the indication include system information block (SIB) signaling, paging physical downlink control channel (PDCCH), and paging early indications. The present application relates to selecting one or more of activated transmission configuration indicator (TCI) states for communications between a network and a user equipment. In an example, the network includes multiple transmission and reception points (TRPs) with which the UE communications. An activated TCI state can be a unified downlink TCI state that applies to multiple downlink channels or a unified uplink TCI state that applies to multiple uplink channels, where this state has already been activated by the network for the UE. Based on a predefined set of rules or network-based signaling, the UE can determine for a downlink or uplink communication with the network, one or more of the activated TCI states to use to then perform the downlink or uplink communication with the network.

The wireless device receives a resource grant through a downlink control channel, wherein the resource grant specifies one or more second time slots for the wireless device to transmit an uplink transmission over an uplink channel. The first and second time slots at least partially overlap, and it is selectively determined whether to transmit the sidelink acknowledgment message or the uplink transmission during the overlapping time slots.
