A packing receptacle for elongated articles includes a receiving part having a holding arrangement for individually positioning the articles therein; and a lid part having a first position in which the lid part is arranged on, and defines an article-receiving space with, the receiving part and a second position in which the lid part is removed from the receiving part. The article-receiving space has a removal opening through which the articles may be removed from the packing receptacle. A hinge interconnects the receiving part with the lid part for allowing a pivotal movement of the lid part about a hinge axis of the hinge from the second position into the first position. An anchoring device secures the lid part to the receiving part when the lid part is in the first position. Further, a closure arrangement is articulated to the lid part and/or the receiving part for movement into a closed position to block the removal opening and into an open position to unblock the removal opening.

Packing receptacle, particularly for sewing machine needles

A packing and storing receptacle includes a bottom panel and a top panel superposed on the bottom panel and defining a pouch therewith for receiving at least a longitudinal part of the contents. The bottom and top panels are formed by a single, flexible sheet and are separated from one another by a transverse folding edge defining an end of the receptacle. The top panel has a terminal edge remote from the transverse folding edge and defining, together with the bottom panel, a removal opening of the pouch. The bottom and top panels have longitudinal lateral edges extending generally perpendicularly to the transverse folding edge along the length of the receptacle. There are also provided lateral and/or transverse tabs cut out, bent out from and integrally attached to the flexible sheet for laterally guiding and positioning the contents. The longitudinal lateral edges of the bottom panel are directly and/or indirectly connected to the longitudinal lateral edges of the top panel at transversely opposite zones.

Packing and storing receptacle, particularly for knitting machine needles

A latch needle for a loop-forming textile machine includes a needle shank; a sawslot provided in the needle shank and being defined by two parallel-extending needle shank cheeks; a rivet traversing the sawslot and being rotatably supported in the needle shank; a needle latch pivotally disposed in the sawslot and having a latch spoon and a rivet-receiving bore; and an elongated spring element having a first end anchored in the needle shank and a second end extending into the sawslot. In the closed position of the needle latch the second end of the spring element is in a pressing engagement with a support surface of the needle latch and resiliently urging the needle latch into an intermediate opening position. The needle latch has an open-ended recess extending from an end of the needle latch remote from the latch spoon into the rivet-receiving bore. The needle latch has a wall face defining the open-ended recess at one side thereof and carrying the support surface. The rivet is rigidly affixed to the needle latch.

Latch needle for a loop-forming textile machine

To provide for overall resiliency of a low-profile knitting needle in which the shank (7) has rib portions (16a, 16b) of which one is not more than 1.1 mm in height, the rib portions with spaced guide portions (12) defining therebetween an open window (15), which window is filled with a vibration and shock absorbing material (17) while ensuring retention of the shock absorbing material, one of the rib portions (16a, 16b) is formed with a through-slit (18), the vibration or shock damping material (17) being securely retained within the window without, however, a second rib portion reducing the resiliency of the needle and its ability to absorb shock and vibration transmitted along the length of the shank in operation of the needle in the knitting machine. The slit (18) can be placed at the end of the rib portion, adjacent a guide portion (12), centrally or at any other location along the length of the rib portion. If a plurality of rib portions and windows are provided, the interruptions of break points are, preferably, located alternately at an upper (10) and lower (11) side of the needle.
