The invention relates to a roll stand () as a constituent part of a roll stand group () in a high-speed wire mill, having at least one roll pair or roll ring pair () and a drive shaft () which is connected to a motor (), characterized in that each roll stand () of this roll stand group () is assigned a motor () and a drive shaft (), and the motor (), the drive shaft () and the at least one roll pair or roll ring pair () are arranged linearly with respect to one another.

The invention relates to a device which enables the actuators and consumers provided on a roll stand for rolling metallic and non-metallic strips to be supplied with operating media. The inventive device comprises a self-supporting construction module consisting of elements of variable which can be connected to each other, the height, width and depth of said elements being variable.
