A heat exchanger with mutually adjacent first flow channels and second flow channels. The first flow channels and the second flow channels are received in a first manifold at a first end region of the flow channel end regions and in a second manifold at a second end region of the flow channel end regions. The first manifold has a first base and the second manifold has a second base, the first base and second base having a plurality of openings in which the end regions of the flow channels are received. The first manifold has a first longitudinal channel and a second longitudinal channel. The second manifold has a second cover which together with the second base of the second manifold forms transverse channels, and one first flow channel and one second flow channel are fluidically connected to each other via a respective transverse channel.

Heat exchanger

A collection container for a heat exchanger, in particular for a refrigerant condenser of a motor vehicle, the collection container having at least one inlet opening for a fluid, in particular refrigerant, and the collection container having at least one outlet opening for the fluid, in which in addition the outer jacket of the collection container limits a cross-sectional surface of the internal chamber in each of a number of cross-sections regarded perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the collection container, and in which the surface content of these cross-sectional surfaces of the internal chamber limited by the outer jacket has different sizes in at least two cross-sections situated at a distance from one another in the longitudinal direction of the collection container.

Collection container for a heat exchanger and associated heat exchanger

The invention relates to a condenser () comprising an integrated collector () which is arranged parallel to one of the collector tubes () and is connected to said connector tube via two overflow opening (and). Said collector () is used to receive a drying/filtering unit (). The condenser (), consisting of tubes (), ribs () and collector tubes (), is produced by welding. According to the invention, the drying/filtering unit () is introduced into the collector () before the welding process and is positioned therein or connected thereto in a fixed manner. The collector () is then closed and the entire condenser () is welded. The connection between the drying/filtering unit () and the collector () is thus carried out before or during the welding process by means of welding. The invention is preferably used for air conditioning systems in motor vehicles.

Refrigerant condenser

The present invention relates to a refrigerant condenser for motor vehicle air-conditioning systems of the type that include a tube/fin block, header tubes arranged on both sides of the tube/fin block and a collector arranged parallel to one header tube, wherein the header tubes have partitions for creating a multi-pass flow of the refrigerant, and the tube/fin block has an upper condensation region and a lower supercooling region. The collector is flow-connected via passage orifices to the condensation region, on the one hand, and to the supercooling region, on the other hand. The collector has approximately the same diameter or the same cross section as the adjacent header tube, and an additional container of larger cross section or larger diameter is provided for storing refrigerant and/or for receiving a dryer and/or filter. The container is connected to the collector, either in parallel or in series, via connecting lines, with one of the connecting lines being connected between the condensation region and supercooling region.

The application discloses a collection vessel for a condenser of an air-conditioning system, preferably for motor vehicles. The collection vessel 1 holds in its interior a drier that can be exchanged via an opening which can be closed by means of a releasable lid. The lid is designed as a piston-like, cylindrical stopper , and be sealed and guided in an axially displaceable manner in a corresponding hole in the collection vessel . The stopper is pressed outwardly against a securing ring by the internal pressure (pi) in the vessel, which securing ring is fixed in an annular groove in the collection vessel and is secured against release by a blocking shoulder on the stopper . Due to this measure, the lid of the collection vessel cannot be removed when pressure is prevailing inside the vessel. Only when the vessel is depressurized can the securing ring and therefore also the stopper be removed, so that a drier cartridge can be exchanged.
