A shaping machine includes a melting vessel, an induction coil arranged on the melting vessel for inductively heating, in particular melting, a material, and a shaping cavity. The melting vessel has at least one irradiation region which is substantially permeable for an electromagnetic field, and the shaping machine is adapted to cool the material in the cavity in such a way that a substantially crystalline solid body is formed. A body with a higher magnetic permeability than the melting vessel is arranged overlapping the irradiation region, and the induction coil is arranged between the body and the irradiation region.

A bearing system and associated method of operation are provided to support a spinning rotor having a pot and a shaft of an open-end spinning device with two radial bearings and at least one axial support bearing, wherein at least one of the radial bearings is an active magnetic bearing. The axial support bearing is configured such that a magnetic bearing acts in opposition to one or both of an aerostatic air bearing or a mechanical starting element.

Method for supporting a spinning rotor and bearing system, spinning rotor and support bearings

A magnetic bearing for the mounting of a shaft, in particular for a spinning rotor of an open-end spinning device, features several pole shanks of a stator for the active radial magnetic mounting of the shaft in two degrees of freedom, which in each case are surrounded by a coil and are radially arranged to each other, in such a manner that they define an opening for the shaft. In the area of the opening, the pole shanks are connected to each other. For the passive axial mounting of the shaft, at least one permanent magnet is arranged between the coils and the opening. The invention also includes a shaft for mounting with at least one corresponding magnetic bearing. The shaft is a composite component, which at least partially consists of non-ferromagnetic material. In the area of the radial and axial mounting, a component made of a ferromagnetic material is arranged. A shaft mounting is also provided and features, for the passive axial mounting of one degree of freedom of the shaft and for the active radial mounting of two degrees of freedom of the shaft, at least one, preferably two, corresponding magnetic bearings.

The invention relates to an engine control for a synchronous motor having a number of N stator coils set off in regard to each other, which are arranged around a rotor of the synchronous motor, wherein there may be impressed upon the stator coils by the engine control a coil voltage and wherein there is formed a coil current having a direct current component in a co-ordinate system rotating proportionally with the number of revolutions performed by the synchronous motor as well as a cross current component, wherein the cross current component effects a tangential force activating the rotor in the direction of rotation and wherein the direct current component effects a force acting perpendicularly to the rotor surface on the rotor, wherein the engine control has a direct current generator for generating a direct current component periodically alternating in the rotating co-ordinate system, in order to neutralize oscillations of the synchronous motor activated by the engine control by means of the force generated perpendicularly to the rotor surface, wherein the direct current generator is formed for evaluating at least one angle information and an operating cross current.

A device for limiting an unbalance in inside a centrifugal, with an electric motor to drive a rotating component disposed in an enclosure around a rotational axis, wherein a rotor of the electric motor is non-rotatably connected to the rotating component, a bearing assembly for the rotor and the stator to be arranged in, and a stabilizer unit which generates as a function of a disturbing force acting on the rotating component a balancing force that is adapted to compensate said latter, the bearing assembly including support means such as to make the stator radially movable, and the stabilizer arranged radially outside and/or inside said stator and/or support means of the bearing assembly and having stabilizing means whereby in aggregate a radial balancing force can be generated.

A permanent magnetic rotor for an electric motor, preferably for an internal rotor motor, includes a laminated core consisting of several rotor sheets that are stacked in the axial direction. Permanent magnets are arranged in receiving pockets formed by recesses of the rotor sheets, the laminated core being composed of at least two differently shaped types of rotor sheets. Several rotor sheets of a first type of rotor sheet are provided as retaining sheets that respectively include a central yoke lamination section that is connected or can be connected to the rotor shaft and respectively one or more external pole shoe sections that are connected to the yoke lamination section by one or more connecting bars or bar sections, and several rotor sheets of a second type of rotor sheet are provided as intermediate sheets without connecting bars.

Permanent-magnetic rotor

The invention relates to a body of revolution, in particular for a centrifugal, which comprises a rotator, an electric motor with a stator and a rotor wherein said latter is fixed to the rotator for rotational movement therewith, a support to which the stator of the electric motor is attached and a bearing unit for rotational arrangement of the rotor around an axis of rotation which comprises at least one bearing adapted to coact with an electromagnetic stabilizer unit in such a way that disturbing forces and/or disturbing vibrations of the rotator are counteracted and/or compensated.

Magnetically levitated and controlled body of revolution

A valve comprises an electromagnetic actuator including a solenoid. The solenoid includes at least one core and an anchor plate. The solenoid further comprises at least one coil disposed within the core and connected to a set of power electronics to supply current to the coils. The actuator further comprises a plunger connected to the anchor plate and at least one spring configured to guide the plunger. The actuator also includes a pressure compensation system. The opening and closing of the valve is controlled by passing current through the coil.

Electromagnetic actuators

The invention relates to an economical, non-wearing, electrical permanent magnet drive for actively controlling the rotor position in three degree of freedom. The stator windings produce superimposed fields with different pole numbers in the pole pitches by unsymmetrical magnetomotive force distributions.

Stator field providing torque and levitation

A magnetic bearing for generating magnetic forces. A configuration of electromagnetic poles and of permanent magnetic poles which, to the greatest possible extent, is planar enables the generation of a magnetic flux in the air gaps toward the rotor, also in the de-energized state. If this flux is modulated using a control flux, magnetic forces can be exerted upon the rotor for the purpose of providing magnetic support. This configuration makes it possible to provide magnetic bearings of a simple mechanical design.

Magnetic bearing system

A method for the excitation of the radial force and torque winding systems of electrical drives with integrated magnetic bearings. The drives comprise an electrical machine with torque and radial force windings which are introduced in the stator or rotor, a position and angle sensor system and analog or digital electronic circuitry for the control, regulation, monitoring and feeding of the machine. A model is used for setting the rotor position (36,37) and the rotational angle of the rotor (&phgr;) which describes the relationship between the forces acting radially and tangentially at the rotor or at the stator respectively and the loop currents, and indeed in such a manner that it takes into account the deviations from the sinusoidal form of the force components, which depend on the rotational angle of the rotor (&phgr;).
