A magnetic field sensor comprising a sensor arrangement (H), which is supplied by a supply device (IH) and generates a sensor signal. An evaluation device (ADC, R) to which the sensor signal is fed and which outputs a first output signal (AI). A feedback device (RV) to which the first output signal is fed and which controls the supply device. The regulation of the control loop closed with the feedback device improves the noise behavior of the magnetic field sensor. A method is disclosed for operating the magnetic field sensor.

Magnetic field sensor and method for the operation thereof

A sensor, in particular a Hall sensor, comprising a sensor element () which outputs a sensor signal (SS) containing an interference signal (STS). An evaluation device () is connected to the sensor element and contains a subtractor () which subtracts the interference signal from the sensor signal. The sensor contains a filter device (), which filters out the interference signal from the sensor signal. The sensor and a related method enable compensation of the interference signal.

A system includes plural sensors to detect at least one of a magnetic field and an electrical field, where each of the plural sensors includes outputs that output sensor signals when a field is detected. Plural signal modulators receive sense signals that correspond to sensor signals from corresponding ones of the plural sensors. Each of the plural signal modulators has first and second control states. In the first control state, each signal modulator outputs sense signals, and, in the second control state, each signal modulator outputs inverted sense signals. A device receives and processes the sense signals or the inverted sense signals.
