The invention relates to a method for producing a belt- or band-shaped component made of elastomer material, which is driven to run around under tensile stress and which has an electronic circuit or electronic device installed in the component, the component having tension members or cords which are arranged in the longitudinal direction, wherein, during the fabrication and before the vulcanization of the component blank, planar intermediate plies or strips made of material which cannot be crosslinked by vulcanization are inserted into the blank structure in subregions of the blank, wherein, after the fabrication, the blank is completely vulcanized to form the component and, where appropriate, cut or trimmed, and wherein the intermediate plies or strips are then removed from the component through correspondingly incorporated or method-intrinsically formed openings, and an electronic circuit or electronic device is introduced into the thus resulting planar empty space or interspace in the component.

Method for producing a belt- or band-shaped component having an electronic device

The invention relates to a hose () featuring an integrated system for detecting damage and comprising a hose wall () in which at least one transponder () is embedded. The hose () is characterized in that an antenna () is also embedded in the hose wall () so that an electromagnetic coupling () can be established between the antenna () and the transponder (), the magnitude and/or quality of the electromagnetic coupling () being a measure of the degree of damage to the hose wall ().

An identification device () for a pneumatic spring () includes an RFID transponder (), which is completely embedded into the elastomer matrix () of the flexible member (). An electromagnetic field is generated by a read device (), wherein the energy necessary for supplying the RFID transponder () is taken from the electromagnetic field generated by the read device (). When the read device () is active, information can be exchanged between the RFID transponder () and the read device (). The RFID transponder () operates completely without an internal energy supply. The RFID transponder () may also be configured as a read/write transponder including a memory chip, wherein data may be stored on the memory chip in a safe and permanent manner. By retrieving data from the RFID transponder (), an identification of the pneumatic spring () is possible even without any internal power supply of the RFID transponder.

A method for obtaining highly pure hydrogen from a raw gas begins with heating and/or treating a semipermeable material made of metal or a metal alloy, preferably, conducting an electric current through the semipermeable material at the beginning of the method in order to increase the quantity of hydrogen passing through the material. A device for obtaining highly pure hydrogen from the raw gas includes a semipermeable material which forms a boundary between the interior of a pressure vessel and the outer region of the pressure vessel and which is permeable to hydrogen. The device is designed such that is can be heatable or treatable at least in sections, in particular, by means of electric energy.

The invention relates to a sensor as a built-in component of an object, especially an elastic object, the sensor comprising a polymer material containing electroconductive additives according to the invention and thereby acting as an expansion sensor (), in that it measures the static and dynamic expansions of the object in relation to the acting forces and also monitors the changes of the polymer material generated by the static and dynamic expansions of the object over time. The invention also relates to a sensor arrangement () acting especially in combination with the following components: an expansion sensor (), a fixed resistor (), an analog/digital converter (), a micro-controller comprising a memory (), a radio interface (), a controlled current/voltage source (), an energy supply (), a coupling coil (), and a receiving unit ().

Strain sensor and corresponding sensor arrangement

An air spring () essentially includes two end elements () and an electrically conductive rolling-lobe flexible member which is pressure-tightly arranged therebetween and is made of a flexible elastomeric electroconductive material (). A reinforcement () formed by two cord fiber plies (), which are made of fibers (), are vulcanized into the flexible member. In order to determine the height (h) of the spring, preferably, the two cord fabric plies () are provided with a number of highly conductive fibers () which are arranged at the beginning and the end of each ply in a parallel direction to each other, thereby forming two conductive strips (). The conductive strips () are disposed oppositely to each other and are electrically connected at the end of the rolling-lobe flexible member () in such a way that a conductive loop () is formed and each strip is used as an element in a branch for an alternating-current measuring bridge (). The filaments () of individual fibers () or only certain filaments () of the fibers () can be electrically conductive. In addition to determining the height (h) of the spring in a motor vehicle, the inventive device can also be used for determining the air pressure in the flexible member of the air spring (), the temperature (T) of the flexible member walls and other measurement quantities.

An ultrasonic pulse/echo measurement arrangement includes an ultrasonic transducer (), which is mounted spatially fixed on an air spring cover plate (). The arrangement further includes a fixedly mounted reference reflector (), a target reflector () mounted on a roll-off piston () or on the bumper () as well as a transmitter/receiver evaluation electronic circuit (). The running time as well as the amplitude of the reference signal is evaluated to precisely determine the pressure present in the interior space of the air spring. The ultrasonic transducer () has a &#x3bb;/4-adaptation layer (), whose impedance does not correspond to the geometric mean of the impedances of the ultrasonic transducer () and the ambient air of the interior space () of the air spring, but rather, is a mismatch. The evaluation electronic circuit () can be calibrated at ambient pressure for the determination of the inner pressure of the air spring. Preferably, the pressure measuring method according to the invention is also used to determine the running-time dependent spring height in an air spring () of a motor vehicle.

Method for determining the pressure present in the interior space of an air spring for a motor vehicle and apparatus for carrying out the method

An air spring system for a motor vehicle includes essentially a flexible member ( ) having first and second ends. At a first end, the flexible member is closed off by the cover plate ( ) as a connecting part and, at its second end, by a roll-off piston ( ) as a second connecting part. To carry out a contactless distance measurement in accordance with the pulse/echo method in the interior space ( ) of the air spring ( ), an ultrasonic transmitter/receiver ( ) is mounted on one of the two connecting parts ( ) and a reflector ( ) is provided on the other one of the two connecting parts ( ). A separate reference reflector ( ) is not used in order to simplify the construction and to save mounting space for the components. Instead, the reflector is configured as a two-step reflector. The one step functions as a target reflector ( ) and the other step ( ) functions as a reference reflector. A bumper ( ) is preferably configured as a two-step target reflector ( ). The step, which is configured in the bumper ( ) is realized as a blind bore ( ).
