An operating element having an end piece, which is arranged for connecting to a printed circuit board and a front plate. An operating lever is rotatably mounted on the end piece. The operating lever has at least one grip section and one on and/or off lever piece, which are at least partly made from a wear-resistant material. Such a design has the particular advantage that part of the operating element which performs an on and/or off lever action, the on and/or off lever piece, opposite the section of the operating element to manipulate, the handle, is at least partly made from a wear-resistant material. The complete unit is thus rendered significantly more robust without sacrificing ergonomics of the grip piece.

An actuator element for levering in and out printed circuit modules. The actuator element has an end piece that is adapted to be linked with a printed circuit module an actuator lever. The actuator lever is rotatably mounted on the end piece and has at least one handle part and one locking slide that can be slid between at least two switch positions. The locking slide, in a first switch position, retain the actuator lever in a first position that corresponds to a fastened state of the printed circuit module, and releases the actuator lever in a second switch position.

A contact spring connector that contains a holding strip, from which a contact spring leaf and a clamping leaf alternatingly extend in rows. A contact spring leaf has a contact leg, which is spread away from the holding strip and is connected with the holding strip via a cap area. A clamping leaf has a clamping leg connected with the holding strip by spring bands and from which a clamping element is spread away from between the spring bands. The decoupling of the contact spring leaf from the clamping leaf in particular results in ruggedness in respect to mechanical effects.

A module rack has on its front at least one upper and one lower crossrail and at least one left and one right vertical corner profile strip. A vertical mounting groove is formed in at least one vertical corner profile strip. The vertical mounting groove faces away from the front of the module rack. Additional fastening capabilities may be provided on the front of the module rack. These additional fastening capabilities are used for external add-on parts such as a covering box, a handle, and cover panels. The module rack may be used for e.g., plug-in modules having electric circuits and components mounted on a printed circuit board.

The present invention relates to a screening device having a base plate and at least one shaped strip which can be joined to a side edge of the base plate. In this case, a shaped strip can be designed as a contact shaped strip or as a spring shaped strip with a plugged-on contact socket connector, and can advantageously be joined respectively to opposite side edges of a base plate. The advantage of the screening device in accordance with the present invention is, in particular, the low height of the shaped strips and, resulting therefrom, the electromagnetic screening, extending virtually ideally in one plane, of the metal housing, in particular in the case of a plurality of screening devices arranged next to one another. With subracks, the screening device in accordance with the present invention can be used, for example, as a rear cover or as a front filler panel for unassigned module locations.

An electromagnetically shielded housing, in particular a subrack, has metal housing parts and at least one spring contact strip (FE). The spring contact strip is joined to a first housing part (BE) and is shaped such that the first housing part simultaneously makes contact with and is snap-connected to a second housing part (QV). When the electromagnetically shielded housing is fashioned as a subrack, a subrack shielding plate corresponds to the first housing part and a transverse rail corresponds to the second housing part. The stress-free snap-connection of the subrack shielding plate and transverse rail provided by the spring contact strip requires no additional compression. It is not necessary to screw down the subrack shielding plate, unless, for example, increased stability is desired. It is particularly advantageous if a distal edge of the preferably angled-off edge region (KE) of the subrack shielding plate is recessed into the housing and does not bend back out from the transverse rail. This avoids having the edge region protrude from the housing and produces optimum electro-magnetic shielding.

In a rack system for inserting electrical printed circuit board assemblies, front elements (,) for slots are provided with projecting plug-in and withdrawable centering and contact elements (,). These elements have associated receiving elements (,) composed of electrically conductive material and are mounted with low impedance to a transverse connecting rail (,). During an insertion process, the receiving elements and the centering and contact elements come into contact in a centered manner. When inserted, the receiving elements and the centering and contact elements provide a vibration-proof mechanical connection with a high adhesion force and a low-impedance contact with a high current carrying capacity.

In a subrack, the front plates have shank screws which extend through the front plates and are fitted into the front plates so that the front plates have virtually no ability to move, i.e., have no &ldquo;play&rdquo;, in the radial direction, but the shank screws can still be rotated and be displaced in the axial direction. The shank screws advantageously undertake two functions simultaneously in this arrangement. When a module is inserted into the subrack, the front plate is simultaneously centered by the shank screw. It can also subsequently be fixed accurately in position on the subrack by the same shank screw. As a result, a multiplicity of modules can be inserted into the subrack next to one another without mutual hindrance.

The mounting rack contains transverse rails (1, 31), at least one front element (29), and at least one spring contact strip (10; 38). The contact strip has a retaining portion (11) for fitting on an end face (21, 22) of the transverse rail and contact springs (14) which are connected to the retaining portion and have spring limbs (15) which are angled off in a direction away from the interior of the mounting rack, such that these spring limbs (15) extend in a direction generally coincident with the longitudinal side (54) of the front element the spring movements of the spring limbs (15) are generally in the same direction as the insertion and withdrawal movements (24, 48) for the printed circuit board assembly fastened to the front element.

The front system has an upper and a lower end piece (5) which are fastened to the upper and lower front corner region (3), respectively, of the printed circuit board assembly (3). An upper and/or a lower lever pull handle (19), which is fitted to the upper and/or lower end piece respectively, is used for levering the printed circuit board assembly into and out of the monitoring rack. A latching mechanism (25) is provided to fix the lever pull handle in the appropriate position when the printed circuit board assembly has reached the point where it has been fully inserted into the mounting rack. A switching element (31) is integrated in the upper and/or lower end piece in such a manner that the switching element is actuated by the lever pull handle when it is in its fixed position. By this means, the printed circuit board assembly can be electrically enabled. The invention has the advantage that, as a result of its integration into the lower and/or upper end piece, the switching element can be moved to an accurately definable position. It is thus possible to permanently and reliably actuate the switching element with the lever pull handle even when an actuator of the switching element has only a small switching path.

The mounting rack (BGT) has plug-in printed circuit board assemblies (BG) with an electrical resistor (R) between the front panel (FP) and the sliding contact (K). Any electrostatic charge applied to the front panel (FP) is damped by the electrical resistor (R) before being dissipated to the mounting rack BGT. The novel mounting rack (BGT) has the advantage that an assembly (BG) can be inserted and withdrawn even while the other assemblies in the mounting rack (BGT) are in operation, without any interference signals that could adversely affect operation of the other assemblies in the mounting rack (BGT) being emitted.

The front system has an upper and a lower end piece (5) which are fastened to the upper and lower front corner region (3), respectively, of the printed circuit board assembly (3). An upper and/or a lower lever pull handle (19), which is fitted to the upper and/or lower end piece respectively, is used for levering the printed circuit board assembly into and out of the mounting rack. A latching mechanism (25) is provided to fix the lever pull handle in the appropriate position when the printed circuit board assembly has reached the point where it has been fully inserted into the mounting rack. A switching element (31) is integrated in the upper and/or lower end piece in such a manner that the switching element is actuated by the lever pull handle when it is in its fixed position. By this means, the printed circuit board assembly can be electrically enabled. The invention has the advantage that, as a result of its integration into the lower and/or upper end piece, the switching element can be moved to an accurately definable position. It is thus possible to permanently and reliably actuate the switching element with the lever pull handle even when an actuator of the switching element has only a small switching path.

An upper and/or a lower lever pull handle (19), which is fitted to the upper and/or lower end piece respectively, is used for levering the printed circuit board assembly into and out of the mounting rack. A push-button element (31) is integrated in the upper and/or lower end piece. When the lever pull handle is in its fixed position, the push-button element may be depressed to thereby act upon the appropriate lever pull handle, thereby actuating an external, electrical switching element. The electrical switching element, in turn, electrically enables and disables the printed circuit board assembly. The invention has the advantage of allowing the push-button element, as a result of its integration in a lower or an upper end piece, to be brought into an exactly definable position, so that even external switching elements with different external designs may be permanently and reliably actuated via the lever pull handle.
