An apparatus for dosing lubricant into a compressed air flow includes a lubricant container, a pneumatically operated lubricant pump, an injection channel, a non-return valve interposed between the outlet of the pump and the injection channel, and an electronic sensor cooperating with or coupled to the non-return valve so that the sensor emits an electrical signal responsive and corresponding to the stroke travel of the non-return valve. When the pump carries out a lubricant injection cycle, the pressurized lubricant pushes open the non-return valve, flows into the injection channel and from there into a main channel through which compressed air flows. The travel of the valve is sensed by the sensor, and the sensor signal indicates whether the lubricant injection was proper or faulty, e.g. if the proper amount of lubricant was injected.

Apparatus for dosing lubricant into an air line

A weft clamp (8) of a gripper head in a shuttleless loom is operated by a finger (10) driven by a coupling rod (13) which in turn is activated by a cam drive (18; 30, 31). The finger is mounted to the upper end of the coupling rod which is guided by a rocker arm (24) that follows the reed or sley motion. The lower end of the coupling rod is directly coupled through a cam follower roller (17) to the cam drive (18; 30, 31), either by one or more springs that assure a continuous engagement of the cam follower roller with the cam or by a bellcrank lever that engages a double cam with two rollers, one at each end of the two bellcrank arms. In both instances only one pivot or journal is needed in the transmission link for the actuating force for operating the clamp operating finger (10) in synchronism with the sley oscillating movement and in synchronism with the gripper movement.

Weft clamp controller for a weft gripper in a shuttleless loom

A gear drive for a shuttleless loom is equipped with a coupling device or clutch between an input first gear group (G1) and an output second gear group (G2). The coupling or clutch provides a form-locking connection between the two gear groups which convert a continuous rotational movement on the input side into a back-and-forth movement on the output side to drive, for example, a gripper rod for the insertion of the weft thread into the loom shed. The coupling device or clutch can be rapidly operated by an electromagnet or by an electric motor and greatly facilitates performing the operations that are, for example, necessary for repairing a broken weft thread.
