Valve for metered admixing of volatilized fuel to the fuel/air mixture

A pressure regulator device which enables greater coaxiality tolerances in the individual parts, without impairing the ability to assemble the parts or impairing a necessary tight sealing. The pressure regulator valve is disposed in a guide opening of a fuel distributor line and a receiving opening of an outlet connection. The pressure regulator valve has a bottom part and an outlet neck. An annular neck groove is embodied on the outlet neck and an annular housing groove is embodied on the bottom part. A sealing ring is disposed in each groove. The annular neck groove is defined by an outer shoulder and an inner shoulder, which has a smaller diameter than the outer shoulder. In the same way, the annular housing groove is defined by an outer shoulder and an inner shoulder, which has a smaller diameter than the outer shoulder. The outer shoulders of each groove allow centering of the pressure regulator valve while the inner shoulders allow concentricity errors. The pressure control device is applicable to fuel injection systems for internal combustion engines.

Pressure regulator device and fuel line receptor therefor

A pressure regulating device is proposed which regulates the fuel pressure in a fuel injection system for internal combustion engines. The pressure regulating device includes a pressure regulating valve which has a valve diaphragm fastened in a valve housing and arranged to define a fuel chamber which communicates via inlet pipes with a fuel distributor line. Protruding into the fuel chamber is a valve seat body joined to the valve housing, on one end of which body a valve seat is formed and the other end of which engages an outlet conduit which protrudes through the wall of the fuel distributor line remote from the pressure regulating valve and is tightly joined to this wall.

Pressure regulating device

A discharge system is proposed which serves to introduce volatilized fuel into an intake tube of an internal combustion engine. The discharge system includes a discharge regulation valve, which on one side is located at an outlet line of an absorber element that emits volatilized fuel and on the other side is located at an outflow line which leads to the intake tube downstream of a throttle device. The discharge regulation valve includes a bottom portion and a cover between which one end of a leaf spring is firmly fastened. The other end of the leaf spring is loosely guided in a gap between the bottom portion and the cover. An armature is joined to the leaf spring and a valve closing body is secured to the armature remote from the leaf spring. A core is secured on a magnet housing disposed in the bottom portion and has a through conduit, which at one end terminates at a valve seat. An electromagnetic coil is disposed in the magnet housing and is triggerable in a clocked manner by an electronic control unit in accordance with engine operating characteristics. The spacing between the valve seat and the valve closing body adjusts automatically in accordance with the pressure difference at the valve seat.

Discharge system for introducing volatilized fuel into an internal

A pressure regulating apparatus which serves to regulate fuel pressure in a fuel injection system for internal combustion engines. The pressure regulating apparatus includes a pressure regulating valve, which has a valve diaphragm fastened in a valve housing and defining a fuel chamber, which communicates via an inlet conduit with a fuel distributor line. Protruding into the fuel chamber is a valve seat carrier body having a valve seat body, on which a valve seat is embodied, from which an outlet conduit leads to an outlet fitting. The pressure regulating valve is inserted into a holder bushing communicating with the fuel distributor line and is sealed off therefrom by a sealing ring disposed on the regulating valve. The axial fixation of the pressure regulating valve in the holder bushing is effected via a screw connection with a retaining body.

Pressure regulating apparatus

A damper element is proposed which serves to damp a pulsating fluid flow, in particular to smooth out and reduce pressure fluctuations arising in fuel supply systems for internal combustion engines in motor vehicles. The damper element includes a base and a cap, which are welded to one another and a damper diaphragm is clamped between these elements. The damper diaphragm, in order to prevent diffusion of the fluid into a damper chamber of the cap, is embodied either as a polyimide diaphragm or as a combination of a fabric diaphragm and a polyimide diaphragm. The clamping area of the cap is embodied as inclined slightly toward the damper diaphragm by an angle .alpha., so that a long-term fastening and sealing of the damper diaphragm is assured.

Damper element

A damping device is proposed, which serves to equalize and reduce pressure fluctuations arising in fuel supply systems for internal combustion engines in motor vehicles. The damping device includes a damper element which has at least one damper diaphragm fastened in a damper housing and is arranged to define a fuel chamber which communicates via a feed pipe with a fuel distributor line. The feed pipe is oriented toward a flow tube which communicates with a fuel supply line and protrudes into the fuel distributor line. The fuel chamber of the damper element communicates via a further feed pipe with the fuel distributor line. The feed pipe and the flow tube are axially spaced apart from one another by a distance (A).

Damping device

A damper element is proposed which serves to damp a pulsating fluid flow, and in particular to smooth out and reduce pressure fluctuations arising in fuel supply systems for internal combustion engines in motor vehicles. The damper element includes at least one damper diaphragm which is fastened in a damper housing and defines a fluid chamber on one side. A connection fitting is disposed on the damper housing and is inserted into a plug connection of a fluid flow cross section. A flow opening is embodied in the fluid flow cross section, being open toward the fluid chamber and toward the fluid flow cross section. The flow opening and the fluid flow cross section are penetrated by a flow tube arranged to protrude therethrough, and into which a first fluid line, which discharges into the fluid chamber, is embodied. Between the flow tube and the wall of the flow opening, an annular, second fluid line is embodied.

A strain relief connection between a housing and an electric conductor assembly. The housing is formed of two plastic housing parts (2,20) which meet with each other over a contact surface (47). The electric conductor assembly (42) includes stranded conductors (43) extending through individual plastic jackets (45) which are surrounded by a common insulating sheath (46). The electric conductor assembly (42) passes from the exterior of the housing to the interior thereof, with portions of the plastic jackets (45) arranged over and contacting the contact surface (47) between the two housing parts (2,20) and with the two housing parts (2,20) being heat sealed together with the plastic jackets (45) at the contact surface (47). One (20) of the two housing parts has a collar-shaped attachment (48) inclined with respect to the contact surface (47) in the vicinity of the electric conductor assembly (42) and partially overlapping the sheath (46) and pressing the sheath (46) against the other (2) of the two housing parts. The strain relief connection is especially useful in conjunction with the housing and electric conductor assembly of an electromagnetic valve.

A control device is proposed having a bimetallic element, one end of which is pressed into a holding groove provided on a metallic holder disposed in a housing. A pressure control valve to control the pressure of a fluid in a fluid system so that it remains constant. This type of valve can be utilized as element of a fuel injection system for internal combustion engines, and has storage means which are independent of the valve member, and actuatable by the pressure of the fluid. The pressure control valve comprises a housing and a support assembly urged toward a valve seat by a control spring. Additionally, a storage spring in the support assembly urges a closing member toward the valve seat. The closing member is slidably received in a bore in the support assembly. The support assembly is connected to a membrane which is tensioned between the housing members. Other variations of this device are also revealed herein.

Pressure control valve

An air valve for a fuel supply system of an internal combustion engine is proposed, which assures good start-up of the engine and furnishes a fuel-air mixture required for combustion during overrunning. The air valve includes a housing, which is separated by a diaphragm into a first chamber and a second chamber. The first chamber communicates with the intake tube section dowstream of a throttle valve and the second chamber comunicates first with the intake tube upstream of the throttle valve and second with the intake tube downstream of the throttle valve. A valve plate guided by the diaphragm engages a valve seat sheath which is slidably supported in a mouthpiece. A flow cross section is formed between the valve seat sheath and the mouthpiece. Immediately following starting, additional air can bypass the throttle valve for the purpose of improved starting up of the engine. Upon attainment of a certain underpressure, the valve seat sheath is displaced in such a manner that a sealing step closes the flow cross section. At under pressures characterized by overrunning, the valve plate rises from the valve seat sheath and enables the supply of additional air to the engine.

Air valve for a fuel supply system

The invention relates to a subpressure limiter for a fuel injection system of a mixture compressing, externally ignited internal combustion engine wherein the apportioned fuel quantity is injected into the suction tube containing an arbitrarily actuatable throttle valve, and wherein the suction tube sections upstream and downstream of the throttle valve are interconnected by means of a bypass whose cross-sectional area is variable by means of the subpressure limiter and features a pressure dependent control element responding to the subpressure prevailing within the suction tube section downstream of the throttle valve during an overrunning operation.

Subpressure limiter for a fuel injection system

An air valve for a fuel injection system of a mixture-compressing externally ignited internal combustion engine which controlls the air flow in a bypass line associated with the air suction tube, the bypass line bypassing a throttle valve mounted within the suction tube. The air valve includes a membrane which defines a first and second chamber of the valve, the first chamber of which is in communication with atmosphere. The air valve also includes a movable valve component mounted to control the cross-sectional area of the bypass line. The movable valve component is connected to the member by a guide pin, and the movement of the movable valve component is responsive to an arrangement of a guide spring and pressure spring as well as the pressures in the two chambers.
