The invention concerns an electrolytic reactor, in particular for separating phosphate from phosphate-containing liquids and recovering phosphate salts, comprising a housing, an inlet and an outlet for the liquid and two electrodes of different polarity, which enclose a reactor chamber between them, whereby at least one of the two electrodes is a sacrificial electrode and consists of a magnesium-containing material, whereby the sacrificial electrode is constructed of trapezoid bars which have a first and a second upper surface, whereby the first upper surface is smaller than the second upper surface, and whereby four lateral surfaces connect the first upper surface with the second upper surface.

Device for the photochemical treatment or cleaning of a liquid medium

The invention relates to a device for producing UV light. Said device provides light from light sources that operate in accordance with different physical principles. The device comprises a chamber having several gas-filled plasma chambers (), wherein the chamber has at least one area () transparent to UV light and/or VUV light. A first group () of plasma chambers is filled with an ionizable gas containing mercury and a second group () of plasma chambers is filled with a gas that forms excimers when suitably excited.

In a method for recovering volatile components from a solid material, a liquid phase is mechanically removed from the solid material. Subsequently, the solid material is dried by exposing the solid material to superheated steam circulating in a closed circuit. From the closed circuit excess steam that contains volatile components given off by the solid material is removed. The volatile components are separated from the excess steam by condensing the excess steam to a condensed phase and the volatile components are from the condensed phase by adding suitable ions to the condensed phase to crystallize the volatile components.
