The present disclosure relates to a mobile terminal device for a mobile telecommunication system. The device includes electronics for receiving a telephone call, electronics for receiving packet-oriented radio signals, and electronics for selecting at least one transmission service which is transmitted using the packet-oriented radio signals. The mobile terminal device is adapted to receive a signal regarding a time slot from the network of the mobile telecommunication system, the time slot being determined in accordance with the selected transmission service. During the at least one time slot the reception of the packet-oriented radio signal is suspended in order to receive a radio paging signal which signals a telephone call addressed to the mobile transmission device so that the mobile terminal device remains accessible to telephone calls during reception of the packet-oriented radio signals.

Mobile terminal device for receiving packet-oriented radio signals

A mobile terminal device for a mobile telecommunication system is adapted to receive a telephone call, receive packet-oriented radio signals, and select at least one transmission service which is transmitted using the packet-oriented radio signals. The mobile terminal device is further adapted to receive a signal regarding a time slot from the network of the mobile telecommunication system, the time slot being determined in accordance with the selected transmission service. During the at least one time slot, the reception of the packet-oriented radio signal is suspended in order to receive a radio paging signal which signals a telephone call addressed to the mobile transmission device so that the mobile terminal device remains accessible to telephone calls during reception of the packet-oriented radio signals.

A method is provided for transmitting a short message in a telecommunication network to a number of communication stations, wherein address data for the transmission of the short message to more than one communication station are transmitted with a short message, wherein a first header information item is transmitted with a number of data fields in the data section of the short message, each data field including the address data of at least one communication station, and in the second header information item, which is arranged preceding the first header information item, the address data of a first communication station or the network unit are transmitted.

In a cellular radio communication system, at least one locating measuring signal is emitted by at least one additional positioning element from at least one radio cell. According to the invention, each positioning element monitors the radio signalizing on the common air interface of the respective base station to see whether a positioning inquiry signal is emitted to said station and/or from said station. When detecting a positioning inquiry signal of said type, a monitoring positioning element of said type independently inserts at least one locating measuring signal into at least one free signal section of the radio signaling.
