A motor vehicle includes at least one battery module configured to be cooled by compressed gas. The battery module has a cooling system which has an accumulator for compressed gas that can be fed to the battery module for cooling. A control device controls supply of gas from the accumulator to the battery module in dependency of at least one output value from at least one sensor configured to measure a current output from the battery module.

Motor vehicle with battery cooling system

A battery for a vehicle has a plurality of battery cells forming a cell stack. During the operation of the battery, electrical energy can be drawn from the cell stack or supplied to the cell stack via at least one cable. At least one monitoring device, in particular an optocoupler, is used to monitor a resistance that is present on at least one detachable junction of the at least one cable to an additional component of the battery, wherein the monitoring device is connected in a parallel branch to the junction. By monitoring the resistance at the junctions, local overheating of the battery can be prevented.

Battery for a vehicle and method of operating such a battery

A subframe of a front or rear part of a motor vehicle includes two longitudinal members arranged in spaced-apart relationship in a vehicle transverse direction and connected to one another by a cross member. A reinforcement is connected to the longitudinal members and the cross member for increasing a torsion resistance of the subframe and has integrated therein a charge module which is configured to transmit energy in a contactless manner.

A device for detecting a key inserted into a motor vehicle lock includes a transmitter and a receiver connected to a micro-processor and a circuit connected directly between the transmitter and receiver and bypassing the microprocessor. When the key is inserted in the lock, the key communicates over a communications link with a lock-end interrogation device emitting intermittent interrogation pulses. The receiver activates the circuit upon receiving an interrogation pulse and actuates the transmitter to transmit a response pulse in response to the interrogation pulse. A key has a system for detecting whether it is inserted in a motor vehicle lock and includes a microprocessor, and a circuit connected directly between a transmitter and a receiver for sensing externally fed-in signals and bypassing the microprocessor. The circuit controls the transmitter to generate a response pulse when an interrogation pulse is received by the receiver, the response pulse being generated without involvement of the microprocessor.
