A cartridge for receiving and dispensing a paste has a cartridge body having a front end with a lateral outlet opening for dispensing the paste material. The cartridge body has a longitudinal center axis and the outlet opening has a central axis inclined forwardly relatively to the longitudinal center axis. The outlet opening has a width measured in the direction perpendicular to the longitudinal center axis and an axial length measured in the direction of the longitudinal center axis. The width and the length are different, and the width is preferably greater than the axial length.

Cartridge and dental applicator

An apparatus for dispensing a viscous compound has a dispensing device and a sleeve having a first end detachably connected to the dispensing device. The dispensing device has a plunger and a rotary drive acting on the plunger for applying pressure onto the viscous compound contained in a container attached to the dispensing device for dispensing the viscous compound. The dispensing device has an actuator that couples the rotary drive to the plunger. When the sleeve is attached to the dispensing device, the actuator allows movement of the plunger in the dispensing direction of the dispensing device upon actuation of the rotary drive.

Apparatus for dispensing viscous compounds

An actuating device for dispensing of a paste-like material, especially in the dental field, from a capsule or cartridge has an abutment for the support of the capsule or cartridge at the actuating device in the direction of dispensing. The abutment is provided at a collar-shaped projection and is a part of at least one securing tongue. The securing tongues are provided at the housing of the actuating device and can be released for releasing the capsule or cartridge.
