A safety helmet () includes an arched helmet shell (), a front holding element () attached to the helmet shell () and a curved front bearing element (). The front bearing element lies flat against the forehead of a user of the safety helmet (). A rigid intermediate piece () bridges a distance between the front holding element () and the front bearing element (). This intermediate piece () is mechanically connected to the front holding element () and to the front bearing element (), wherein at least one connection is detachable. The present invention pertains, furthermore, to two arrangements with such a safety helmet and with two alternative intermediate pieces or with two alternative front bearing elements with a respective intermediate piece.

A detachable belt connector system (), for the detachable connection of belt ends (), includes a first connector element () with a first connection area () and a first belt fastening area () and a second connector element () with a second connection area () and a second belt fastening area (). The first and second connection areas are configured to be connected to one another in a detachably with a positive-lock. The belt ends can be fastened at the belt fastening areas via a corresponding permanent fastening mechanism. The first belt fastening area and/or the second belt fastening area are configured such that they have a predetermined breaking region (), by means of which an irreversible break takes place at the belt fastening area having the predetermined breaking region when a predefined limit pulling force () is applied at the detachable belt connector system.

A breathing mask shall has an inspiration valve () that can be replaced in a simple manner. The breathing valve () is designed for this purpose as a modular assembly unit that can be inserted into the breathing gas channel () from the outer side () of the mask.

The connection of a breathing mask to a safety helmet provides increased wearing comfort. A fastening mount () with circular arc-shaped inner contour () is provided, and the bracket for the breathing mask has a projection corresponding thereto. The projection is in contact with the inner contour () of the fastening mount (), so that the bracket is displaceable in relation to the fastening mount () in a rotatingly movable manner.

A gas mask for normal pressure operation and overpressure operation allows changeover of the expiration valve () from normal pressure operation to overpressure operation is made possible in a simple manner. The pretension of the valve spring () of the expiration valve () is adjusted by an angle lever () pivotable about an axis of rotation ().
