A bifurcated toothbrush having two brush carrying members angled with respect to one another at the working end of the toothbrush handle. Each brush is designed for a distinct purpose and the brushes are spaced at a sufficient distance from one other to move the cheek or tongue away from the surface being brushed.

A filling machine which in its original construction includes a first number of filling units and which is adapted to be converted into a filling machine with a second number of filling units greater than the first number; to that end the actuating drives of two filling units on the same side of the machine are interconnected by the use of a linking bar detachably mounted over the eccentrics thereof while bearing sleeve housings and bearing bushings are detachably secured on the linking bar in a predetermined number and at predetermined locations for installing thereon the lower ends of the filling units; the pump post mounting members for the upper ends of the respective filling units are removed and in lieu thereof an upper mounting bar is fastened to the filling machine by the use of the same threaded holes in the filling machine which were originally used for fastening the pump post mounting members; the upper mounting bar is provided with a number of pump post members detachably secured thereto which correspond in number to the predetermined number and which are so located on the mounting bar that the upper ends of the filling units can be pivotally secured thereon.

Convertible filling machine

A spool-type valve system for use with a high-speed filling machine, in which a solenoid valve controlled by the main shaft of the filling machine, selectively supplies air under pressure to a respective end of a pneumatically operated piston-cylinder unit of a spool valve assembly which selectively opens and closes the pump space with respect to the reservoir for the product to be filled while simultaneously closing and opening the pump space with respect to the discharge nozzle.

A filling machine for simultaneously filling several containers each with a predetermined amount of fluid, in which the containers are indexed by the use of a feed screw which moves the containers into the area of the machine where the nozzles are lowered into the containers to carry out the discharge of the fluid into the containers and are raised again, and/or in which the nozzle support structure is actuated to reciprocate in the direction of the movement of the containers while the containers are being filled and opposite this direction after the nozzles are raised clear of the top of the containers.

A valve system for use with a high-speed filling machine, in which a solenoid valve controlled by the main shaft of the filling machine, selectively supplies air under pressure to a respective pneumatically operated piston-cylinder unit which in its turn actuates a pinch clamp valve or a rotary valve to thereby effectively close the discharge or intake of the filling pump; with the use of a pinch clamp valve, its piston clamp assembly closes a hose section connected to the pump of the filling machine during its reciprocatory movement by pinching the same against a clamping bar of the pinch clamp frame structure; two rotary valves or pinch clamp assemblies may be used thereby, one for the intake cycle and one for the discharge cycle of the filling pump, which are then both controlled from the main shaft by the electromagnetically controlled solenoid valve.

A pump speed control for filling machines in which the rotational speed of the pump is varied between its intake stroke and the discharge stroke by selectively controlling the speed of the driving motor as a function of the rotational position of the output shaft of the driving motor.
