An excrement catching device for a dog wherein the dog has a tail, a rear end and a stomach portion. The device comprises a receptacle sized and configured to be placeable over the rear end of the dog. The receptacle has a rear portion and a forward portion for attachment of a stomach strap and a tail strap. The tail strap is placeable over the tail of the dog and attached to the rear portion of the receptacle. The tail strap is operative to secure the receptacle to the tail of the dog. The stomach strap is placeable over the stomach portion of the dog and attached to the forward portion of the receptacle. The stomach strap is operative to secure the receptacle adjacent to the stomach of the dog. Accordingly the stomach strap and the tail strap position the receptacle in a location whereat the receptacle may catch the excrement of the dog.

A toothed gear is secured to an associated shaft by an expansive sleeve which is expanded radially inwardly by the pressure of a hydraulic actuator.

Hydraulically securable and angularly adjustable gears

A mandrel for supporting printing sleeves and the like comprising a hollow cylinder with a multiplicity of expansion chambers axially spaced along the cylinder at its outer surface. Each chamber is closed by an expansion sleeve and connected to a separately controlled hydraulic line allowing each sleeve to be expanded independently of the others.

A mandrel for the support of a printing cylinder includes a hollow cylindrical shell, the axial ends of which are enclosed by trunnions and expansion heads. Compressed air is admitted into the shell through one of the trunnions and escapes through apertures in the hollow shell and into the interior of a printing cylinder, and, is employed to expand a resilient sheath positioned on the printing cylinder.

Adaptors for expandable mandrels of printing presses are formed as annular members which are slidable over the journals of the mandrel and lockable thereto, the adaptors each having an outwardly expandable external periphery for gripping and holding a printing cylinder of a diameter larger than that of the mandrel.

A carrier sleeve for supporting flexible printing plates, the sleeve having a limited circumferential resilience, whereby when subjected to air jets emitted from the apertures in the wall of a printing cylinder, the sleeve is dilated to facilitate the application of the sleeve to the cylinder or its removal therefrom. The sleeve is constituted by three interlaminated layers, each formed by a helix of synthetic plastic tape. Two layers of the sleeve are wound at the same helix angle but are phase displaced relative to each other, whereby the air gap between the convolutions of one layer is bridged by the convolutions of the other, thereby sealing the gap and rendering the sleeve impermeable to air. The remaining layer is wound at an angle opposed to the helix angle of the other two, thereby strengthening and rigidifying the structure of the sleeve.
