Execution of an obfuscation application may cause a computing device to translate bits of a hashed value according to a sparse bit selection pattern, the sparse bit pattern including a translation of bits of the hashed value into reordered bit unit groupings sized according to a numeric base of a digit cypher; and generate an obfuscated value using the translated bit unit groupings of the hashed value as indices into the digit cypher, the digit cypher including a mapping of the indices to output values in the numeric base. The obfuscation application may further cause the device to receive a target value to be obfuscated in data records received from a data source, hash the target value using a hashing module to create the hashed value, in some cases truncate the hashed value, and replace the target value in the data records with the obfuscated value.

Digest obfuscation for data cryptography

A data warehouse and method of providing a record that includes both desired demographic information and undiscoverable individual information are described. Data records including subscriber-identifiable information associated with a device of a subscriber to the network service provider and demographic attributes associated with the network subscriber are initially extracted from the record. A hash value based on subscriber-identifiable information associated with the subscriber device is generated and used to generate a user identifier hash value based on the subscriber-identifiable information and a periodically-updated salt value. The record is updated to form a hashed record that includes the demographic attributes of the network subscriber, the hash value, and the user identifier hash value. The hashed record is then supplied in response to a request from a query server.

Protecting subscriber information from third parties

A computing device may be configured to provide operations related to providing additional security for sensitive personal information (SPI) in data records of an enterprise. The SPI is extract from the data records and mask sequence values associated with the SPI are generated. A master translation table is updated with the association of the mask sequence values to the entries of SPI and the mask sequence values are merged into the data records to be used in place of the SPI to safeguard the SPI. The table containing the mask sequence values is stored separately.

Sensitive personal information data protection

A data source may be configured to provide usage data including subscriber identifiers and associated information indicative of subscriber device locations and usage. A data warehouse server may be configured to perform operations including: decrypting subscriber identifiers included in usage data received from the data source using a two-way rolling key groups algorithm; re-encrypting the subscriber identifiers decrypted from the usage data to create secure encrypted identifiers using a one-way secured encryption algorithm; and correlating the subscriber identifiers in the decrypted usage data with the corresponding re-encrypted identifiers.
