The present invention relates to an ice maker having a fan assembly. The ice makerof the present invention comprises a main bodyand a fan assemblymounted to the main bodyby means of resilient mounting hooks. A housingdefines an external appearance of the fan assembly, and comprises first and second housing portionsand. The first and second housing portionsandare provided with concavo-convex coupling portionsand' at positions corresponding to each other so that the housing portions can be provisionally assembled by coupling the concavo-convex coupling portions to each other. The interiors of the first and second housingandare partitioned by partition platesto define a cold air flow passage, and a discharge ductis formed integrally to communicate with the cold air flow passage. A box fan unitis installed in the cold air flow passage, and mounting ribsand&#x2032; corresponding to opposite corners of the box fan unitare formed on the first and second housing portionsand. The first and second housing portionsandare coupled to each other by fastening the box fan unitto the mounting ribsand&#x2032; by means of screws. A housing coverformed with an inletcommunicating the cold air flow passageis installed at a side of the housing. A fastening ribof the housing coveris simultaneously fastened together with the first and second housing portionby means of a screw.
