Disclosed is a process for production of a colored polyimide molded article including the steps of molding a polyamic acid solution composition containing a polyamic acid solution obtained from at least a tetracarboxylic acid component and a diamine component and a coloring precursor, or a polyimide solution composition containing a polyimide solution and a coloring precursor; and then thermally treating a molded product at 250&#xb0; C. or higher.

Colored polyimide molded article, and process for production thereof

A porous polyimide film having a three-layer structure that comprises two surface layers (a) and (b) and a macrovoid layer sandwiched between the surfaces layers (a) and (b). The macrovoid layer has a partition wall bonding to the surface layers (a) and (b), and multiple macrovoids each surrounded by the partition wall and the surface layers (a) and (b) and having a mean pore size in the film plane direction of from 10 to 500 &#x3bc;m. The partition wall of the macrovoid layer has a thickness of from 0.1 to 50 &#x3bc;m and has multiple pores having a mean pore size of from 0.01 to 50 &#x3bc;m. The surface layers (a) and (b) each have a thickness of from 0.1 to 50 &#x3bc;m, at least one of the surface layers has multiple pores having a mean pore size of from more than 5 &#x3bc;m to 200 &#x3bc;m, and the other surface layer has multiple pores having a mean pore size of from 0.01 to 200 &#x3bc;m. The pores in the partition wall of the macrovoid layer as well as in the surface layers (a) and (b) communicate with each other and further communicate with the macrovoids. The film has a total thickness of from 5 to 500 &#x3bc;m and a porosity of from 60 to 95%.

Porous polyimide membrane and process for production thereof

There is provided a method for continuous production of a functional membrane whereby a functional membrane in which a functional polymer is filled into the micropores of a porous resin sheet can be obtained both continuously and efficiently. The method for continuous production of a functional membrane of the present invention comprises a step for impregnating and depositing a polymer precursor having a functional group on a continuously conveyed porous resin sheet; a polymerization step for continuously feeding and bringing into contact first and second resin films to one side and the other side, respectively, of the precursor-impregnated/deposited sheet comprising the porous resin sheet into which the polymer precursor is impregnated and deposited, and polymerizing the polymer precursor in a state in which the sheet is sandwiched between the two resin films; a film peeling step; and a polymer removal step.

A porous insulating film comprising a highly heat resistant resin film having a fine porous structure with a mean pore size of 0.01-5 &#x3bc;m in at least the center of the film, and a porosity of 15-80%. A laminate is prepared by forming a heat resistant adhesive layer or a conductive metal layer or an inorganic or metal substrate on one or both sides of the porous insulating film or by forming an inorganic or metal substrate on one side of the porous insulating film and a conductive metal layer on the other side.
