A diode plate for an electric machine includes a body having a thickness and defining a central axis thereof. A plurality of cooling plates having a uniform thickness of 1 millimeter or less over the entire surface area of the cooling plates are mounted onto the body of the diode plate. A plurality of louvered slots may be formed within each of the cooling plates. Each louvered slot has a louvered portion that extends from the cooling plate at a predetermined angle relative to the cooling plate.

A continuous combination fin for a heat exchanger includes a base wall having a first portion, a second portion and a third portion. The continuous combination fin also includes a plurality of entrance louvers in the first portion extending outwardly at a predetermined angle in a first direction from the base wall. The continuous combination fin includes a plurality of exit louvers in the third portion extending outwardly at a predetermined angle in a second direction from the base wall reversed from the first direction. The continuous combination fin further includes a plurality of drainage louvers in one of the first portion and the second portion and the third portion that are off-set relative to each other such that air flows through the entrance louvers and exit louvers and water drains through the drainage louvers.

Continuous combination fin for a heat exchanger

A heat exchanging device is disclosed. The device includes a fluid flow tube having a turbulator which includes a plurality of coil sections. Each of the coil sections includes a number of coil members of uniform diameter. The coil sections are spaced apart by a predetermined number of other coil members having smaller diameters and different heights than the coil members in the coil sections. These coil configurations force fluid flowing around them into heat exchanging contact with the tube walls.

A conductive fin for a heat exchanger includes an elongated fin member having two rows of tube receiving apertures extending through the fin member. The fin member includes two rows of raised members located on either side of a centerline bisecting the fin member so as to form a series of closely spaced pairs of raised members located between any two tube receiving apertures and being symmetrical about the centerline and defining two openings with one opening being larger than the other. Each of the raised members defines a pair of legs extending from the plane of the fin member and is positioned to channel air into the space between each respective pair of tube receiving apertures so as to increase the coefficient of heat transfer therebetween without increasing air pressure drop across the heat exchanger.
