An agent type is determined based, at least in part, on the product profile. Data is retrieved from the product based on the agent type and processed such that the data is accessible by the web browser.

The retrieved data is dynamically transformed using a common XSLT file. A method for customizing a data display using a presentation profile comprises retrieving extensible Markup Language (XML) data in response to a request from a client. A presentation profile is loaded based on at least one characteristic of the client. The XML data is formatted into a data display based on the presentation profile and the data display is communicated to the client.
