An antenna module, comprising: a substrate; at least one first antenna array, located on the substrate, comprising at least one first antenna and having a first maximum radiation direction; and at least one second antenna array, located on the substrate, comprising at least one second antenna and having a second maximum radiation direction. A communication device using the antenna module is also disclosed.

Antenna module and communication device using the antenna module

A wireless communication device is provided. The wireless communication device includes a circuit board, an antenna module, a housing and a metal pattern unit. The antenna module is coupled to the circuit board, wherein the antenna module transmits a wireless signal, the antenna module defines a first FOV area and a second FOV area, and the first FOV area differs from the second FOV area. The housing covers the antenna module, wherein a lid portion of the housing corresponds to the first FOV area, and the lid portion has a first equivalent dielectric constant. The metal pattern unit corresponds to the second FOV area, the metal pattern unit causes a second equivalent dielectric constant, and the first equivalent dielectric constant differs from the second equivalent dielectric constant.

Wireless communication device

A method for evaluating radio performance of a device under test (DUT) comprises the following steps. A first set of points, a second set of points and a third set of points are defined to locate on a sphere surrounding the DUT. A signal power of the DUT is evaluated at the first set of points to identify a first region related to the first set of points. Candidates of the second set of points are selected based on the first region. The signal power of the DUT is evaluated at the candidates of the second set of points to identify a second region related to the second set of points. Candidates of the third set of points are selected based on the second region. The signal power of the DUT is evaluated at the candidates of the third set of points to identify a beam peak.

Method and system for evaluating radio performance

A testing method for determining radiation performance of a device under test (DUT) is disclosed. The testing method comprises the following steps. The DUT is arranged at a first orientation. A first effective isotropic radiated power (EIRP) and a first effective isotropic sensitivity (EIS) of the DUT are measured at the first orientation. The DUT is arranged at a second orientation different from the first orientation, and a second EIRP of the DUT is measured at the second orientation. A second EIS of the DUT is measured at the second orientation according to a correlation between the first EIRP, the first EIS and the second EIRP.

Testing method and testing system for evaluating radio device

An antenna device includes a substrate, a feed line and an antenna. The substrate is formed with a non-opaque material. The feed line is disposed at the substrate and has a first terminal and a second terminal. The antenna is disposed at the substrate, electrically connected to the first terminal of the feed line, and is used to access a wireless signal. The second terminal of the feed line is electrically connected to a chip disposed on the substrate.

Antenna device including antenna and substrate generated with non-opaque material

A multi-band antenna array includes first antenna elements and second antenna elements. Each first antenna element has a first shape spanned by a first long axis and a first short axis, the first long axis being longer than and perpendicular to the first short axis. Each second antenna element has a second shape spanned by a second long axis and a second short axis, the second long axis being longer than and perpendicular to the second short axis. The first long axis is non-parallel to the second long axis. The first antenna element and the second antenna element resonate at a high resonance frequency band along the first long axis and the second long axis, respectively, and the first antenna element and the second antenna element further resonate at a low resonance frequency band along the first short axis and the second short axis, respectively.

Multi-band dual-polarization antenna arrays

A portable electronic device is provided. The portable electronic device includes a housing, a circuit board, an amplifier, an antenna and a short element. The circuit board is disposed in the housing, wherein the circuit board includes a first edge and a second edge, and the first edge is opposite to the second edge. The amplifier is disposed on the circuit board and adjacent to the first edge. The antenna is disposed on the second edge of the circuit board, wherein the antenna transmits a wireless signal. The short element is disposed on the second edge of the circuit board, wherein the short element is separated from the antenna, and the short element couples with the antenna to reduce Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) value around the amplifier.

Portable electronic device

An antenna module is provided. The antenna module includes a radiator, a feed pin, a ground element, a first parasitic arm, a second parasitic arm and an impedance matching unit. The radiator includes a first section and a second section, wherein an end of the first section is connected to the second section, and the first section is perpendicular to the second section. The feed pin is connected to another end of the first section. The first parasitic arm is parallel to the second section, wherein an end of first parasitic arm is connected to the ground element, and the first parasitic arm couples with the second section of the radiator. The impedance matching unit is connected to the second section and the ground element. The second parasitic arm is partially parallel to the first section, and the second parasitic arm couples with the first section of the radiator, and an end of the second parasitic arm is connected to the ground element.

Antenna module

An antenna is provided. The antenna includes a radiator, a feed conductor and a ground conductor. The radiator includes a body and a parasitic element. An aperture is formed on the body, and the body encloses the aperture. The parasitic element is connected to the body and extended into the aperture, wherein the parasitic element is connected to the body at a parasitic location. The feed conductor is connected to the body, wherein a signal, fed to the body by the feed conductor, travels on the body, and passes the parasitic location to the parasitic element. The ground conductor is connected to the body.

Portable electronic device and antenna thereof

A mobile communication device comprises an internal antenna device for receiving low-band signals of operating frequency band below 1 GHz, and the internal antenna device can be connected in series or parallel with an external antenna such as an earphone. The mobile communication device of the invention uses the internal antenna device for receiving low-band signals, enabling radio alarm function and timed recording of radio programs without plugging in an external earphone.

A dual band antenna device operable in a first frequency band and a second frequency band is disclosed. The device comprises a first radiation body and a second radiation body. The first radiation body forms a single path with at least two bend portions. A portion of the second radiation body is parallel to a portion of the first radiation body in a specific distance. The radiating member comprises a first sub-radiating member and a second sub-radiating member having a feed point to which the feed member is connected.

Antenna

A radiation device having a L-shaped ground plane. The radiation device comprises a radiation patch; a feeding-in device for exciting the radiation patch; and a L-shaped ground plane. The L-shaped ground plane has a first ground plane and a second ground plane, and the first ground plane is parallel to the radiation patch and an included angle is formed between the fist and the second ground plane. The feeding-in device is used for coupling the energy to the radiation patch, and is connected to the first ground plane of the L-shaped ground plane.

A dual-frequency planar antenna disclosed herein utilizes a main radiating device to produce a resonance mode and excites a parasitic radiating device to produce another resonance mode by the coupling of energy. These two modes can provide sufficiently broad bandwidths, and the present invention is simple in design, which makes it cost effective. Therefore, the planar antenna of the present invention is a competitive alternative for wireless communication applications.
