A shift register and a gate driver circuit are provided. The shift register includes an input unit, an output unit, an electrostatic discharge unit and a reset unit. The input unit provides an input signal. The output unit is coupled to the input unit and a gate output terminal. The output unit outputs an output signal through the gate output terminal according to the input signal. The electrostatic discharge unit is coupled to the output unit. After the gate output terminal outputs the output signal, the electrostatic discharge unit pulls down a voltage of the gate output terminal according to a low gate voltage. The reset unit is coupled to the input unit and the output unit. After the electrostatic discharge unit pulls down the voltage of the gate output terminal, the reset unit resets a voltage of a bootstrap node.

Shift register and gate driver circuit

A pixel circuit arranged in an electrophoretic display is provided. The pixel circuit includes a first transistor, a storage capacitor, and an output stage. A first terminal of the first transistor is coupled to a data line. A control terminal of the first transistor is coupled to a scan line. The storage capacitor is coupled to a second terminal of the first transistor. The output stage is coupled to the second terminal of the first transistor and the storage capacitor. The output stage receives a first voltage and a second voltage. The output stage selectively outputs the first voltage or the second voltage to a pixel electrode of the electrophoretic display according to a data voltage provided by the storage capacitor.

Pixel circuit

A flat display apparatus comprising a shift register array is provided. The shift register array comprises a plurality of shift registers. At least one of these shift registers comprises a shift register unit, a first TFT, and a second TFT. The shift register unit is configured to receive an activation signal and comprises a first output terminal and a second output terminal. The gate of the first TFT is coupled to the first output terminal. The second electrode of the first TFT receives a clock signal. The gate of the second TFT is coupled to the first electrode of the first TFT. The second electrode of the second TFT is coupled to the second electrode of the first TFT. The first electrode of the second TFT is coupled to the second output terminal.

Shift register, shift register array, and flat display apparatus

A pixel structure electrically connected to a scan line and a data line is provided. The pixel structure includes an active device, a first pixel electrode, a mean potential equilibrium circuit, and a second pixel electrode. The active device is electrically connected to the scan line and the data line. The first pixel electrode is electrically connected to the active device. The mean potential equilibrium circuit is electrically connected to the scan line and the data line. The second pixel electrode is electrically connected to the mean potential equilibrium circuit.

Pixel structure

A liquid crystal display panel includes a first scan line, a second scan line, a data line, a first pixel and a second pixel. The first pixel has a first switch, a second switch and a first pixel electrode. The second pixel has a third switch and a second pixel electrode. The driving method of the liquid crystal display panel includes the following steps. During a first time period, the first scan line and the second scan line are enabled at the same time, and a first pixel voltage is inputted to the data line. During a second time period, the first scan line is enabled, the second scan line is disabled, and a second pixel voltage is inputted to the data line. The second time period is shorter than the first time period.

Method of driving liquid crystal display panel

A pixel driving method applied to a flat panel display is provided. In a first time period, an Nth scan line provides a first scan voltage to a pixel row to conduct the corresponding thin film transistors (TFT). Also, an N+1th scan line provides a second scan voltage through the conducted TFTs to the corresponding first switches to conduct the first switches, and then a number of first data voltages of the corresponding data lines are outputted to the corresponding first pixel electrodes. The absolute value of the difference between the first scan voltage and the second scan voltage is not smaller than a threshold voltage of each TFTs.

Flat panel display and pixel driving method applied thereto

A display panel includes lower and upper glass substrates. The lower glass substrate includes a pixel array having a plurality of pixel units formed thereon, wherein each pixel unit includes a transparent domain and an opaque domain surrounding the transparent domain, and an upward projection is formed in the opaque domain on the lower glass substrate. The upper glass substrate, mounted on the lower glass substrate, has a spacer formed therebeneath and protruded downwardly therefrom for keeping a cell gap between the upper and lower glass substrates, wherein the spacer is fallen in the opaque domain and has a lateral side in collision with the projection on the lower glass substrate to prevent relative displacement between the lower and upper glass substrates.

Flat display panel with a spacer unit to prevent displacement between upper and lower glass substrates

A display device includes a display panel, a driving circuit and a repair line. The display panel has a display region and a peripheral circuit region adjacent to the display region. The peripheral circuit region has a driving circuit bonding region and a plurality of conductive wires extending from the display region into the driving circuit bonding region. The driving circuit is electrically connected to the display region through the driving circuit bonding region and the conductive wires. The repair line is distributed in the peripheral circuit region and the driving circuit, wherein the repair line has a repair portion located between the driving circuit bonding region and the display region. As described above, the repair process of the display device provided by the present invention is simpler so as to save the cost and time of the successive processes.

Display device

A display panel includes lower and upper glass substrates. The lower glass substrate includes a pixel array having a plurality of pixel units formed thereon, wherein each pixel unit includes a transparent domain and an opaque domain surrounding the transparent domain, and an upward projection is formed in the opaque domain on the lower glass substrate.
