An ergonomic faceguard for a helmet, and a helmet including the ergonomic faceguard; the faceguard including a wire grid having a plurality of horizontal wires. The plurality of horizontal wires includes a horizontal wire configured to extend proximate to a user's chin, the horizontal wire including a pair of lateral sections for engaging a shell of a helmet and a front section extending between the lateral sections, with the lateral sections extending along a common plane and the front section deviating from the plane along which the lateral sections extend. The front section has an anterior point that is elevated at a height that is greater than a height of the lowest point in the front section.

Ergonomic faceguard for an athletic helmet

An ergonomic facemask for a headpiece, including a wire cage having a plurality of horizontal wires and a plurality of vertical wires. The plurality of horizontal wires includes a horizontal wire configured to extend forward of a user's face at a height between the user's nose and the user's upper lip, and the plurality of vertical wires includes a center vertical wire that extends along the sagittal line of a user's face. The mutual arrangement of the center vertical wire together with the horizontal wire adequately shields a user's face while avoiding interference with the user's field of view.

An umpire chest protector for use in a baseball game is disclosed to include a body member, a sternum plate, first left and right side plates, second left and right side plates, two shoulder plates, a shoulder strap assembly and a rear padding system. The rear padding system has an air channel defined therein, saving material, reducing the weight and enhancing wearing comfort. The left and right paddings, upper padding, outer left padding and outer right padding of the rear padding system are detachable, easy on and off and washable, material-saving and capable of dispersing impact force. The sternum plate is attached to one side of each of the shoulder plates and affixed thereto with rivets, and side flaps and bottom flaps of the sternum plate are respectively affixed to the upper portions and lower portions of the first left and right side plates with rivets, providing warp around feel and making the protector still and strong.

A chest protector formed of a base, upper and lower shoulder straps, a neck pad, neck cushions, shoulder cushions, chest cushions, upper and lower abdomen cushions, lateral cushions, bottom cushions and breathing cloths. Each upper abdomen cushion is formed of an inner low bounce foam, an outer low bounce foam and an intermediate hard plastic board sandwiched in between the inner low bounce foam and outer low bounce foam. Each lower abdomen cushion is formed of an inner low bounce foam and an outer low bounce foam. The inner low bounce foam of each abdomen cushion is shorter and relatively softer than the associating outer low bounce form so that a buffer space is defined between the outer low bounce foam of each abdomen cushion and the base below the associating inner low bounce foam and the outer low bounce foams of the abdomen cushions are respectively held in a sloping status after stitching of the breathing cloths to the base.

A safety baseball base includes a base with a bottom recess and a bottom stem in the bottom recess, an anchor embedded in the ground in a baseball field, a positioning member inserted into the anchor, a flexible mounting plate affixed to the positioning member and having recessed holes on the top side, and a flexible coupling member fitted into the bottom recess around the bottom stem and affixed to the base and having a plurality of bottom locating blocks respectively engaged into the recessed holes of the flexible mounting plate to secure the base to the flexible mounting plate for allowing disconnection of the base from the flexible mounting plate upon an impact to avoid injuries when a player is sliding into the base.

A training aid for use with an elongated sporting implement for hitting training is disclosed to include three vane devices injection-molded from plastics each vane device having a flat vane body and smoothly arched top and bottom locating plates disposed near top and bottom ends of the inner vertical side of the flat vane body for enabling the vane devices to be adjustably connected to one another around the sporting implement through a plug joint, and two fastening belts inserted through insertion slots in the flat vane body of each vane device and fastened up to affix the vane devices to the sporting implement. Top and bottom stop devices are attached when the training aid is used with a golf club.
