A balloon catheter includes an elongated catheter shaft, an expandable balloon connected to the elongated catheter shaft, and a sheath that defines a lumen and includes a therapeutic agent disposed within the lumen. The balloon catheter further includes a first configuration and a second configuration. When in the first configuration, the expandable balloon is disposed distally from the sheath such that an outer surface of the expandable balloon does not contact the lumen. Further, when in the second configuration, at least a portion of the outer surface of the expandable balloon is disposed within the lumen of the sheath such that it contacts the therapeutic agent. At least a portion of the therapeutic agent that contacts the outer surface of the expandable balloon is transferred from the lumen of the sheath to the outer surface of the expandable balloon when the balloon catheter is in the second configuration.

A medical device that is configured to house an expandable balloon includes a tubular sheath and a retaining member. The tubular sheath includes a longitudinal slit that extends parallel to a longitudinal axis of the tubular sheath and the retaining member is configured to retain the tubular sheath in a closed configuration. The tubular sheath may house the expandable balloon while the expandable balloon is attached to a catheter that is configured to navigate the expandable balloon into a body of a patient. The tubular sheath may be configured to house the expandable balloon substantially through the process of inserting the expandable balloon into the vasculature of the patient. Once the expandable balloon has been introduced into the introducer sheath and/or inserted into the vasculature of the patient, the retaining member may be disengaged and the tubular sheath removed from the catheter.

Expandable balloon sheath

A method of deploying an eversible branch stent-graft includes deploying the eversible branch stent-graft into a main vessel such that a collateral opening in a main stent-graft of the eversible branch stent-graft is aligned with an ostium of a branch vessel emanating from the main vessel. A branch stent ring suture threaded though outer exposed crowns of an outer stent ring of the branch stent-graft is grasped and pulled through the collateral opening to evert the branch stent-graft into the branch vessel as a branch anchor suture is removed to release a protruding end of a branch stent-graft from a proximal end of the main stent-graft.
