Traction control using multiple actuators is provided. A system can identify a slip for a vehicle wheel based on a difference between a wheel motion and a vehicle motion. The system can determine an amount of torque to apply to the wheel to adjust the slip to satisfy the slip target. The system can distribute a first portion of the torque to apply to the wheel via a first actuator of the plurality of actuators and a second portion of the torque to apply to the wheel via a second actuator of the plurality of actuators. The system can provide commands to cause the first actuator to apply the first portion of the amount of torque and cause the second actuator to apply the second portion of the amount of torque to adjust the slip of the wheel.

Traction control using multiple actuators

Slip target adjustment based on an accelerator pedal is provided. A system can detect an amount of torque requested for a vehicle. The system can determine a friction level associated with a surface on which the vehicle traverses. The system can select a slip target modifier. The selection can be based on the amount of torque requested for the vehicle and the friction level. The system can adjust a slip target used by a traction control system of the vehicle. The adjustment can be based on the slip target modifier.

Adjustable slip targets based on accelerator pedal

Systems and methods to automatically detect and respond to driving on a deformable surface are provided. A system can determine, for a first time interval, a difference between an expected acceleration of a vehicle and an actual acceleration of the vehicle measured via one or more sensors of the vehicle. The system can detect, for the first time interval, a condition for the vehicle to increase a first slip target set for the vehicle. The system can increase the first slip target set for the vehicle to a second slip target responsive to the difference greater than or equal to a threshold and the detection of the condition.
