In one embodiment, an X-ray CT apparatus includes: an X-ray detector equipped with a plurality of detection elements each of which is configured to output an X-ray signal in accordance with X-rays passing through an object; and a scan controller configured to acquire X-ray signals in each of a first mode and a second mode in one scan by switching between the first mode and the second mode, the first mode being a mode of acquiring high-resolution data which are respective X-ray signals outputted from the plurality of detection elements, the second mode being a mode of acquiring normal-resolution data in which X-ray signals outputted from some of the plurality of detection elements are integrated.

According to one embodiment, an X-ray computed tomography apparatus includes processing circuitry. The processing circuitry sets a parameter of an examination protocol. Based on the set parameter, the processing circuitry determines the number of acquisition views and the number of reconstruction views of projection data. The processing circuitry acquires first projection data corresponding to the number of acquisition views. The processing circuitry calculates second projection data corresponding to the number of reconstruction views based on the first projection data. The processing circuitry reconstructs a CT image based on the second projection data.

An X-ray detector according to an embodiment includes a scintillator array and a photodiode array. In the scintillator array, a plurality of scintillators are arranged in a first direction and a second direction intersecting the first direction. The photodiode array includes photodiodes each of which is installed for a different one of the scintillators and each of which has an active area configured to convert visible light emitted by the scintillator into an electrical signal. The photodiodes are arranged in such a manner that the widths of the active areas are equal to one another in the first direction.

According to one embodiment, a photon-counting apparatus includes an X-ray tube, an X-ray detector, a support mechanism, setting circuitry and data acquisition circuitry. The X-ray detector is configured to repetitively detect an X-ray photon generated by the X-ray tube, and repetitively generate an electrical signal corresponding to the repetitively detected X-ray photon. The support mechanism is configured to support the X-ray tube to be rotatable about a rotation axis. Setting circuitry configured to set one of a time length of a readout period and a readout cycle per unit time for the electrical signal. Data acquisition circuitry is configured to count a count number of electrical signals from the X-ray detector in accordance with the set one of the time length and readout cycle.

Photon-counting apparatus

According to one embodiment, an X-ray computed tomography apparatus includes an X-ray tube, X-ray detector, data acquisition circuit, and correction circuit. The X-ray tube generates X-rays. The X-ray detector detects the X-rays. The data acquisition circuit acquires data corresponding to an output from the X-ray detector. The correction circuit executes correction processing for third data acquired by the data acquisition circuit in actual scanning, based on first data acquired by the data acquisition circuit in a state of non-irradiation with X-rays before the actual scanning and second data acquired by the data acquisition circuit in the state of non-irradiation with X-rays after the actual scanning.

X-ray computed tomography apparatus and radiation medical imaging diagnostic apparatus

According to one embodiment, the X-ray computed tomography apparatus includes an X-ray tube, a rotating frame, a plurality of detector elements, a plurality of DAS elements, switching circuitry, and switching control circuitry. The X-ray tube generates X-rays. The X-ray tube is attached to the rotating frame. The plurality of detector elements detect X-rays. The plurality of DAS elements perform signal processing on output signals from the plurality of detector elements. The switching circuitry is provided between the plurality of detector elements and the plurality of DAS elements. The switching control circuitry controls the switching circuitry to switch the connections between the plurality of detector elements and the plurality of DAS elements for every rotation of the rotating frame at a predetermined angle.

An X-ray computer-tomography (CT) apparatus includes an X-ray detector, a reading unit, and a read control unit. The X-ray detector has a first region and a second region at least a part of which is aligned with the first region along a channel direction, the first region in which a plurality of first detection devices that detect X-rays are arranged, the second region in which a plurality of second detection devices having a width smaller in a slice direction than that of the first detection device are arranged. The reading unit reads a signal of the X-rays detected. The read control unit adjusts timing of reading signals from the first detection device and the second detection device according to difference between the size of the first and the second detection device in such a manner that time difference in the reading signals in the slice direction decreases.

An X-ray computed tomography apparatus according to an embodiment includes an X-ray detector that includes a first semiconductor chip including a plurality of elements configured to convert X-rays into an electrical signal, a substrate configured to collect the electrical signal from each element, a second semiconductor chip that is provided between the first semiconductor chip and the substrate and is formed of the same material as that of the first semiconductor chip, a plurality of first electrodes configured to couple each element of the first semiconductor chip to the second semiconductor chip, and a plurality of second electrodes that are configured to couple the second semiconductor chip to the substrate and are larger than the first electrodes. The second semiconductor chip wires the first electrodes and the second electrodes on a one-to-one basis.

An X-ray detection submodule, comprising: a substrate; a photodiode mounted on the substrate; an X-ray detection element configured to detect an X-ray and convert the X-ray into light; and a light waveguide provided between the photodiode and the X-ray detection element, wherein the light waveguide connects the X-ray detection element with the photodiode such that the substrate is inclinedly disposed with respect to an X-ray detection surface of the X-ray detection element.

X-ray detection submodule, X-ray detection module, and X-ray CT apparatus

According to one embodiment, an X-ray computed tomography apparatus includes an X-ray tube, a detector, a first DAS, and a second DAS. The radiation detector includes a plurality of detection elements. Each detection element repeatedly detects X-rays generated by the X-ray tube and transmitted through a subject and repeatedly generates an electrical signal corresponding to the energy of the repeatedly detected X-rays. The first DAS acquires the electrical signal detected by part of the imaging region of each detection element in the integral mode. The second DAS acquires the electrical signal detected by the other part of the imaging region of each detection element in the photon count type mode.

An X-ray CT apparatus according to an embodiment includes an X-ray detector and a collimator unit. The X-ray detector detects X-rays that have passed through a subject. The collimator unit eliminates scattered radiation from X-rays that are incident on the X-ray detector. The collimator unit includes a plurality of collimator modules, a supporter, and a fixing unit. The plurality of collimator modules each includes a plurality of first collimator plates arranged in a grid along a channel direction and a slice direction that are orthogonal to each other. The supporter supports the collimator modules such that the collimator modules are aligned in a plurality of straight lines along the channel direction and in a plurality of straight lines along the slice direction. The fixing unit is provided to the supporter and fixes positions of the collimator modules in the channel direction and the slice direction.

X-ray computed tomography apparatus, radiation detector, and method of manufacturing radiation detector

A helical scanning operation is performed while a bed is moved, so that data by one-time rotation is collected while positional relationships between a detecting system and a phantom relatively are changed. Further, data obtained by scanning an air region and data obtained by scanning a water region are discriminated on the basis of positional information obtained by positioning scanning or the difference between the air and the water in X-ray absorptance, and correction data is created on the basis of the discrimination.

X-ray CT apparatus and method of creating correction data for X-ray CT

A radiation detector includes a detector block, cables, connectors, and circuit substrates. The detector block has a plurality of radiation detector modules arranged in a slice direction. The cables extend in the slice direction and configured to receive signals from the radiation detector modules of the detector block. The connectors are associated with the cables, respectively, and are spaced, one from another, in the slice direction. The circuit substrates are configured to receive signals via the connectors from the radiation detector modules of the detector block.

The angle of each collimator plate with respect to an X ray focal point is determined by fitting the collimator plate in grooves formed in upper and lower supports each having an integral structure. In addition, the warpage of each collimator plate is corrected and its flatness is maintained by fitting the periphery of the collimator plate which is on the X ray detector side in a corresponding groove of an abutment plate provided on the X ray detection surface side of the upper and lower supports. Furthermore, each collimator plate is supported by the corresponding grooves of the upper and lower supports and the corresponding groove of the abutment plate on at least three sides.
