An object is to provide a metal-resin bonded member that is easy to manufacture and has high bonding strength. The metal-resin bonded member includes a metal body having an iron oxide layer on the surface and a resin body bonded to the metal body via the iron oxide layer. The iron oxide layer has a thickness of 50 nm to 10 &#x3bc;m. The iron oxide layer comprises 60-40 at % Fe and 40-60 at % O at the outermost surface side. The iron oxide layer contains magnetite (FeO). The iron oxide layer is formed by heating the surface of an iron-based substrate at 200-850&#xb0; C. in an oxidation atmosphere. The resin body is composed of polyphenylene sulfide (PPS). The bonding of the metal body and the resin body via the iron oxide layer can be carried out by insert molding, thermal adhesion utilizing friction heating, etc.

Metal-resin bonded member and method of manufacturing the same

A metal-resin composite material including an aluminum substrate having an aluminum oxide coating and a resin bonded to the aluminum substrate through the aluminum oxide coating, wherein the aluminum oxide coating has a porous surface layer in which columns with an average height of 10 to 100 nm are arranged in a dispersed state, an average value of sums of cross-sectional areas of the columns in randomly sampled 400 nm square visual fields of the porous surface layer is 8000 to 128000 nm, an average value of sums of circumferential lengths of cross-sections of the columns in randomly sampled 400 nm square visual fields of the porous surface layer is 1000 to 27000 nm, and an average value of numbers of the columns in randomly sampled 400 nm square visual fields of the porous surface layer is 10 to 430.

Metal-resin composite material, method for producing the same, and aluminum substrate having aluminum oxide coating

An object is to provide a composite plating film excellent in the water-repellent property and oil-repellent property using a material that is less likely to accumulate in the environment, as substitute for a fluorine resin. A composite plating film is provided which includes an alloy matrix phase and a silicone dispersed in the alloy matrix phase. In the composite plating film, the silicone preferably has Hansen solubility parameters comprising a dispersion term &#x3b4;of 15 MPaor less, a polar term &#x3b4;of 3 MPaor less, and a hydrogen bonding term &#x3b4;of 3 MPaor less. The silicone preferably has an interaction radius of a Hansen solubility sphere of 5.0 MPaor less.
