A digital measurement instrument with excellent environmental durability and at least a conventional level of usability including a main scale, a slider movable relative to the main scale, a displacement sensor configured to detect displacement or position of the slider in relation to the main scale, and a control circuit. The control circuit controls change between a normal measuring mode and an origin setting mode. The control circuit also sets and stores a first area, the first area being a preset predetermined range outside of a measurement range. The control circuit also changes operation mode from the normal measuring mode to the origin setting mode when the slider is detected to have stopped within the first area for a consecutive predetermined period of time. Additionally, the digital calipers are provided with no mechanical push button switches.

Digital measurement instrument

A digital indicatorincludes a body case (), a spindle () provided to the body case (), the spindle () being movable in an axial direction, a displacement detector () that detects a moving amount of the spindle (), and a digital display () that digitally displays the moving amount detected by the displacement detector (). The display surface of the digital display () is arranged on the body case () in an attitude substantially orthogonal to the moving direction of the spindle () and deviated from the moving axis of the spindle ().

Digital measuring instrument

A measuring instrument has a phase signal transmitter that transmits, in accordance with a rotation of the spindle, a phase signal that differs corresponding to the rotation angle of the spindle, and an arithmetic processor that arithmetically processes the phase signal to obtain the absolute position of the spindle. The phase signal transmitter transmits the phase signal at a predetermined pitch. Since the phase signal differs corresponding to the rotation angle of the spindle, a rotation angle of the spindle is uniquely determined by the phase signal. Unlike an increment type measuring instrument, since there is no concern that the signal will be skip-read, the spindle can be rotated at high speed, so that operational performance of the micrometer can be improved. Further, since there is no concern that the signal will be skip-read, the phase signal can be minutely varied with respect to the rotation of the spindle.

Components of a measuring tool such as a main beam () and a slider () of a caliper gauge () are formed by a synthetic resin containing carbon nanofiber and an electro-conductive electrode () is formed on the surface of the main beam () at a predetermined pitch, so that a production process can be simplified, rigidity of the components can be enhanced, linear expansion coefficient can be reduced, and anti-frictional properties can be improved, thus enhancing durability while improving measurement accuracy.

Measuring tool, encoder and producing method of encoder

A stator () is hooked in a frame body () away with a prespecified space from a spindle (), so that it is not necessary to fix the stator with a screw. The stator (), therefore, can easily be mounted, and further as it is not necessary to provide a screw hole in the frame body (), so that the need for waterproofing processing associated with a screw hole is eliminated. Further the stator () is hooked in a protrusion () of an electronic unit () inside the frame body () away with a prespecified space from the spindle (), so that a rotation thereof in the peripheral direction of the spindle due to play and rattle is small and a measurement error can be suppressed.

Digital displacement measuring instrument

Provided is a measuring devicefor measuring the size of an object comprising a body, and a spindlewhich is screwed into the bodyand axially advances and retracts by screwing with respect to the body, the measurement being based on the axial displacement of the spindleeffected by the revolution of the spindle, wherein the spindle is screwed into the bodyvia a multiple-start thread. Therefore, it is possible to displace the spindleat a high speed, which improves the operability of the measuring device.

A rotary movement converting mechanism for converting a rotary movement of a rotary body () into a linear movement of a movable body () has a support body () fixed to a body frame () and provided with a slit (A) along an axial direction of the rotary body (), a spiral groove (A) formed on the inner circumference of the rotary body (), and a top member () provided on the movable body (). The top member () has an engaging member (A) inserted through the slit (A) and having a tip end engaged with the spiral groove (A), and a stop member (C) for stopping the linear movement of the movable body () when a load is applied on the linear movement of the movable body (). Accordingly, when a load is applied on the linear movement of the movable body (), the linear movement is stopped and the minute displacement of the movable body () is restrained, thereby enhancing the stability of a measuring instrument in measuring a workpiece.

A compact and simple linear actuator includes a spindle to a main body so as to be capable of moving in an axial direction, displacement detection device, a motor, and a transmission mechanism. The displacement detection device detects a movement displacement amount of the spindle. The motor is disposed adjacent a proximal end one of the spindle and on the same axis as the spindle. The transmission mechanism transmits turning force of the motor to the spindle. The transmission mechanism includes a first rotary member fitted to the proximal end of the spindle and integrally rotating with the spindle, a second rotary member fitted to a rotor of the motor, and connection rods for transmitting rotation of the second rotary member to the first rotary member. The connection rods have axes that are parallel to an axis of the spindle while being displaced from the spindle axis. The connection rods are rigidly connected to one of the first and second rotary members, and slidably received by the other of the first and second rotary members.

A measuring instrument includes a spindle ( ) provided to a body ( ), a sleeve ( ) movable in the same direction as the spindle and stoppable at a desired position, a connector ( ) for connecting the sleeve and the spindle and allowing relative movement of the sleeve and the spindle in the moving direction thereof by a predetermined stroke; a pressure spring ( ) accommodated in the sleeve for biasing the spindle in a direction for the spindle to abut to the workpiece through the connector, and a biasing force indicator ( ) for indicating the pressure spring.

Accordingly, the displayed value can be kept even when the anvil backs unpreparedly.

Micrometer that holds displayed displacement when retraction amount is less than a set amount

A micrometer includes: a main body having an anvil at one end thereof, a spindle having a screwed portion engaging an opposite end of the main body and being displaceable in an axial direction and with respect to the anvil in conjunction with rotation of the spindle, and an encoder detecting an axial displacement amount of the spindle from a rotation amount of the spindle, so that a measurement value based on an output signal of the encoder is digitally displayed. The micrometer includes a thimble provided on the opposite end of the main body and the thimble is rotatable about the axis of the spindle at a predetermined position in the axial direction of the spindle. The thimble is formed with a guide groove parallel with the axial direction of the spindle in an inner peripheral surface thereof. The spindle includes an engagement pin located in the spindle and slidably engaging with the guide groove of the thimble.

Micrometer

An electrical base 32 having a stationary detection element 31 is fixed to a body case 11 movably supporting a spindle 13, and a synthetic resin made scale holder 34 is provided to synchronize with the spindle 13 and move through a guide 33. In addition, a scale 36 having a movable detection element 35 is adherently fixed to the scale holder 34 at a plurality of points. More specifically, a projection 51 is fixed through an adhesive layer 52 to the back face of the scale 36, and held in a accommodating hole 46 formed in the scale holder 34, and then adhered through an adhesive layer 53 in the circumferential direction. As a result, the reduction in weight can be achieved and a disadvantage with the reduction in weight (which is that a gap between a stationary detection element and a movable detection element is changed) can be resolved.

A dial gauge with a simplified structure and reductions in number of parts and production costs. In the dial gauge having a case 10 which is composed of a case body 11, a front case member 21 provided on the front of the case body 11, and a rear case member 31 provided on the rear of the case body 11, the case body 11 and the front case member 21 are combinedly formed by using plastic materials. The rear case member 31 includes a rear cover and a reinforcing plate covering the rear of the case body 11.
