In a vehicle driving assist device including a control device, the control device is configured to set, in steering assist control, an upper limit value of a steering angle in a counterclockwise direction as a left limit steering angle or an upper limit value of the steering angle in a clockwise direction as a right limit steering angle. When the steering angle exceeds the left limit steering angle in the counterclockwise direction, the control device is configured to apply an assist steering force in the clockwise direction to a steering operation. When the steering angle exceeds the right limit steering angle in the clockwise direction, the control device is configured to apply the assist steering force in the counterclockwise direction to the steering operation.

Vehicle driving assist device, vehicle driving assist method, and non-transitory storage medium

A vehicle steering assist device includes a steering assist ECU. The steering assist ECU calculates a target steering angle for driving the vehicle along the road, and a target steering guide torque that guides the driver's steering so that the actual steering angle becomes the target steering angle. The steering assist ECU controls the torque applying device so that the steering guide torque becomes the target steering guide torque. The steering assist ECU acquires at least one of information on the driving environment of the vehicle and information on the state of the driver, and calculates an index value indicating the necessity of the steering guide torque based on at least one of the pieces of information. The steering assist ECU corrects the target steering guide torque based on the index value so that the higher the need for the steering guide torque, the larger the target steering guide torque.

When it is determined that there is a possibility thereof, the vehicle control device sets the steering reaction force to be smaller than the standard reaction force, and sets an increase rate of the steering reaction force relative to an increase in the amount of steering operation from a predetermined point in time after it is determined that there is a possibility of the driver performing the predetermined steering operation and before the amount of steering operation in the predetermined steering operation becomes largest to be higher than an increase rate before the predetermined point in time.

A driving assistance system performs a driver-initiative normal driving assistance mode as a driving assistance for a vehicle. The system includes a reaction force characteristics change unit configured to change reaction force characteristics of the operation device, if it is determined that the operation amount of the driver is not included in the appropriate operation amount range in the normal driving assistance mode, an explicit risk determination unit configured to determine whether or not an explicit risk is present based on the external environment of the vehicle, and a driving assistance switching unit configured to switch a driving assistance for the vehicle from the normal driving assistance mode to a system-initiative risk avoidance assistance mode, if it is determined by the explicit risk determination unit that the explicit risk is present in the normal driving assistance mode.

A driving assistance apparatus predicts an appropriate operation amount which is an operation amount performed by a driver in correspondence with the external environment, and sets the appropriate operation amount range including the appropriate operation amount, an appropriate operation amount range including the appropriate operation amount, and changes the reaction force characteristics of the operation device when it is determined that the operation amount of the driver corresponding to the prediction time point of the appropriate operation amount is not included in the appropriate operation amount range.

Driving assistance apparatus

A hydraulic control device is equipped with an oil jet that injects oil to a piston, an oil gallery through which oil injected by the oil jet and oil supplied to a lubrication part of an engine pass, an oil pump that pumps oil to the oil gallery, and a switching valve that is provided on an oil jet passage connecting the oil gallery and the oil jet together and leads oil supplied from the oil gallery to either the oil jet or an oil pan disposed at an upstream side of the oil pump. An ECU controls the switching valve on the basis of an engine speed and an engine cooling water temperature.
