The disclosure relates to medical devices and methods of assembling medical devices, such as MRI-compatible interventional wireguides. An example of a wireguide includes a series of individual segments, a plurality of connectors, and a plurality of spacers. Each segment in the series of individual segments has a first end and a second end. Each connector of the plurality of connectors joins adjacent segments in the series of individual segments to one another such that a first end of a first segment and a second end of a second segment in the series of individual segments are attached to a connector of the plurality of connectors. A spacer of the plurality of spacers is disposed between each pair of adjacent segments in the series of individual segments. Each of the segments in the series of individual segments is electrically insulated from an adjacent segment in the series of individual segments.

MRI compatible interventional wireguide

The present disclosure describes filter devices for deployment to body vessels where clots or emboli may need to be captured, particularly the vena cava. The filter device is of unitary construction, having been cut from a substantially planar sheet of a metal, in some instances a shape memory metal. The device has a construction including a plurality of petals, the petals containing an inner rib which curves in the deployed state. A method of making a filter device is also disclosed.

Disclosed herein is a stent which is compressible to small diameter and usable in neurovascular applications. The device is a braided stent and has a crown geometry which enables compression to small diameter without cracking or tangling. Also disclosed is a method of deploying a stent to a body vessel and its use in a coiling procedure.

A stent includes a plurality of stent rings and a plurality of connecting members for connecting adjacent stent rings. The stent rings are expandable from an unexpanded state to an expanded state, each stent ring including a plurality of struts. An adjacent pair of connecting members connected to the same stent ring are disposed to be rotation-symmetric with respect to a center of a strut disposed therebetween.

Stent having reduced foreshortening

A stent-graft comprises a substantially tubular graft material, and a stent coupled to the graft material. The stent has proximal and distal ends and further has compressed and deployed states. The proximal end is disposed proximally beyond a proximal edge of the graft material, and the distal end has at least one portion overlapping with the proximal edge of the graft material. In one example, the stent comprises at least one distal apex having a bifurcation extending into first and second leg regions. A distal end of the first leg region is positioned to overlap the graft material at a location circumferentially spaced apart from a location at which a distal end of the second leg region overlaps the graft material in the deployed state.

Stent designs for reduced infolding of graft material

An endoluminal prosthesis includes a support structure including a curvilinear portion having a first strut and a second strut that meet at an apex. Disposed on the support structure is an anchor with an anchor body and one or more barbs extending outwardly from the anchor body. The anchor body can fit at least partially about, and can conform to the first strut, second strut, and the apex. A curved portion of the anchor and the curvilinear portion of the support structure can be co-formed, resulting in a secure interference fit so that welding, soldering, or other joining mechanisms can be avoided. Cutouts can be formed along the curved portion of the anchor to relieve stress or strain during the co-forming process.

Barbed anchor

The present invention provides a stent having less invasive ends and improved radial force. In one embodiment, the stent comprises a series of proximal apices disposed at a proximal end of the stent, a series of distal apices disposed at a distal end of the stent, and at least one angled strut segment disposed between the proximal and distal apices of the stent. At least one apex of the stent may comprise multiple curved portions. In one example, the radius of curvature of one of the curved portions is significantly greater, for example, at least 10 times greater, than each of the other radii of curvature of the apex. The curved portion having the significantly greater radius of curvature may be configured to engage a vessel wall in a less invasive manner.
